  1. These upside down jerkbaits look interesting. I kind of want to get some and try them for suspending smallmouth. I have no experience with this kind of bait and have really never seen anything like them. Gimmick or has some potential? And yes I have too much time on my hands in the winter but never picked up the helicopter lure or the banjo minnow. The upside down jerkbait now that’s something I can get behind! Let me know your thoughts.
  2. And gold here.
  3. I am fishing a new lake that has predominantly smallmouth. I love jig fishing but have really only done it for largemouth. If I downsize my jig would this be a good technique for smallmouth or should I just go with a dropshot or something else? Any recommendations? Thanks.
  4. I’m fishing a new lake this year and the baitfish are Alewife’s. I guess Shad patterns and colors will work. Is there any specific Alewife colors out there I should be using? The lake is predominantly smallmouth. Thanks for any info.
  5. The 49ers are a good team. Nice to see the the kid who was the last pick in the draft doing well. Hopefully the Eagles will be at full strength after the bye.
  6. That thing looks like you just picked up a rock and grabbed it! Very nice.
  7. I committed to using bladed jigs more this year. I’m looking for a good orange craw colored trailer for a craw colored bladed jig to use late winter and early spring. Any suggestions? Thanks for any info.
  8. 1/8 ounce
  9. I just picked up some hair jigs to try this year in the cold water. I’ve never really fished hair jigs. For those that have do you put a trailer on? I was thinking a baby paca craw would work just not sure if you use a trailer on these or not. Thanks for any info.
  10. My name is Tom and I’m a bass guy. Or at least I try to be. Some days can be interchangeable with “anythingthatbitesTom”.
  11. Wow! Very nice. Congratulations

  13. 68 bass with 10 Senkos per bag it took 6.8 bags to catch 68 fish.
  14. I think you’d be better off sprinkling some coffee grinds in with your Megastrike. ?
  15. It was windy and in deep water. I got tired of waiting for the weightless to sink. I added a 1/4 ounce bullet weight and that was the ticket.
  16. I am killing it this year on a Texas Rigged Senko with a 1/4 bullet weight. It comes through weeds really well and is out fishing any other bait I try on a t-Rig. This is really the first year I have tried this and am really happy I did. I have only ever used stick worms weightless. Actually using yum dingger’s because I don’t really need the action of a Senko with the weight and a lot cheaper. Thought I’d share in case anyone wants to give it a shot. Tight lines everyone!
  17. I use lizards from now until fall. T-rigged, weightless as a top water and on a shakeyhead in the summer. I use Zoom 6 inch lizards in natural colors. One of my favorite baits.
  18. I wonder if the shutdown in China will delay these orders. Just a thought I’m not really sure where they are made.
  19. I also started using Yo Zuri Hybrid last year and love it. I have spools of 6, 8 and 10 lb. that make all the leaders I need.
  20. My Tracker is 15 years and old and I got the green light to get one of these boats. I am having an Ultrex put on and this boat can also have a Jack Plate added. I don’t have any experience with Jack Plates so was wondering if I should have this done. What are the advantages to having one? Shallower draft? Higher top end? Any disadvantages? The Motor will be a Mercury 115 Pro XS. Will I regret it if I don’t get one. Thanks for any info. And help on this guys.
  21. The 2 things that are responsible for the decline of my bass fishery are the Banjo Mnnow and the Helicopter Lure.
  22. 12 lb. for everything but topwater I use Braid or mono for that.
  23. I thought the world already ended, that’s why I only fish the Ned Rig. I gotta pay more attention to things.
  24. Thanks guys.
  25. Going to really try to hone my cranking skills this fall. I’m good with a lipless and jerkbaits but after that I don’t have much experience. I know that grinding the bottom is productive but can’t always do that. Any cranks I should be using that don’t grind the bottom or is lipless and jerkbaits the ticket? Any info. Is appriciated.
