  1. This makes me want to get a 250 even more!
  2. Many people not on the west coast use them often!
  3. I hear you! My bass season also has just ended in Michigan, but now with my house in Florida ill be there for two weeks in december as well as in february and april!
  4. With mend it, they can hold up quite awhile with bass. However, if I toothy critter decides to strike, it's usually game over for the bait. This is especially true with pickerel as opposed to pike. Pike engulf the whole thing but pickerel nip at it and usually rip off the tail.
  5. 2 years shy of 18
  6. You could use nail weights but i feel like it may be easier to just buy a slow sink
  7. Many times I've been down to the flats, as well as the tropics, and have gone tarpon/jack/barracuda fishing. Last time i was in key west we saw a school of tarpon and the guide said the biggest one in the school would have gone 180lb plus. We didn't catch him, but we caught some of his smaller friends!
  8. my favorite lure was a senko (I know, insert comment about how boring it is to fish with one) but know i have to say although it is not my best producer, i love fishing with a rapala original floater on a light spinning setup. It is a small bait but man it catches some solid bass.
  9. Yea I had two and now I have 4!
  10. They went on sale about 1.5 weeks ago, most of the models are gone but i got two!
  11. gobig said he lost 100+ dollar swimbaits. Mattlures doesn't make 100 dollar swimbaits, I'm waiting to hear the story of someone who lost a RM mother
  12. Very nice SirSnook! I am headed back to MI today, this week was tough. I caught one bass about 3 pounds on topwater and a couple dinks as well as a huge blowup but no hookup. Either it's still too hot, or my community pond just doesn't have that many bass in it. I am hoping it's just too hot.
  13. I have tons of fishing decor in my room. Mounts (fake), signs, and pictures all sit on my wall!
  14. Just got down to my house in the boynton area. I have caught a couple small ones from my yard(lost a 5+). I also went to play a round of golf this morning and spotted some HUGE bass on the course. I asked for permission to fish and the club said yes!
  15. I would love to get my hands on a 250
  16. Hey guys, My recent purchase of an LDC XH rod and shimano curado has me in the mood to talk about big swimbaits! Anyone with experience: it would be awesome if you could chime in and just share your thoughts or talk about anything related to big baits! I don't really have a specific question, I just think it would be interesting to hear some of your guys thoughts!
  17. Point well taken. However I have exceptionally good grades I just happen to not be interested in school.
  18. Couldn't have said it better
  19. Slow sink female gill color
  20. Hey guys, Just got back from my favorite pond and it was terrible conditions. It was hot, clear water, and there were no clouds. I wanted to go for a bigger bass today and I decided to bring the hardgill along. Since the water is clear, I can see every follower or strike that I get. I spotted a large bass cruising by the dock and dropped my hardgill down. It just floated down in front of it's face, I ripped it off the bottom and BAM! I see a huge white mouth open and suck in my hardgill. This fish was 4lb 13oz, but skinny. Sorry for the goofy face, i was excited! I have no idea why my pictures are always sideways
  21. 3 feet deep throwing zoom magnum flukes to grass mats on lake Toho!
  22. I regularly visit long island, have lots of family there! Maybe we could meet up and fish sometime, i am also 16
