  1. Went out fishing in SE Florida with a guide I had previously used and who is the best in the business, and needless to say the results were amazing. A combination of shiners, frogs, spoons, worms, and lipless crank baits caught us over 70 bass. These were the best pictures of the day, but we caught a lot more. Best LMB went 5.93 pounds on the last cast of the day and the biggest pea went 6.03lbs. Countless 4-5lbers were caught as well. These peas put up quite the fight on a medium action spinning rod! By far, the best fishing day I have ever had.

  7. Way to go!
  8. I use all left handed reels. I could care less about switching hands its just that reeling righty feels awkward and unnatural.
  9. Would it be ok to fish them on braid with a fluoro leader?
  10. Awesome job man! I gotta say i disagree on that 3 pounder statement. Im also from michigan, and although 3 pounds is a nice fish i don't believe its equivalent. There are quite a few 6-7lbers up here
  11. Golden Tate or Brandon Marshall?

  13. Do these offer any advantages over arky jigs?
  14. Nothing huge, but caught some decent bass with my cousin this past week. All my fish came on jigs and spinnerbaits whereas his came on senkos and chatter baits.

  16. Big water no question
  17. Fishing off of the Kenai peninsula in alaska back in 2013, caught over 30 rockfish in 45 minutes jigging big spoons. After catching a limit on those we moved out to the deeper water in search of halibut and ling cod. In 6 hours between 4 guys we caught 48 halibut, 12 ling cod, and 10 more rockfish. Biggest halibut went 128lbs and the ling cod went 49lbs
  18. Looks like I'm not the only one who had a great time fishing in the everglades with Thadeus
  19. Anybody else?
  20. Thanks! Also, in addition to the inside weed line, do the pads come into play at all?
  21. Hey guys, Tomorrow i am heading out to a new lake and to do some exploring. The lake is a 30 acre glacial kettle hole that is basically shaped like a bowl. The deepest it gets is 50 feet right in the middle. The entire lake is surrounded by pads on the shoreline that come out maybe 20 yards. The water is quite clear from what i have heard. Sand and weeds make up most of the bottom. The following species are present: Largemouth Bass Smallmouth Bass Chain Pickerel Bluegill Pumpkinseed Yellow Perch White Perch Brown Bullhead What would you guys to to catch bass? I was thinking about trying some of my swim baits and pitching jigs into the pads. Should i fish the deeper water even if there is no abrupt contour change? Also, i am fishing it in the afternoon 10-4, it is the only time frame i can.
  22. As of now, the 9 inch slammer and 15 inch C-Mac worms are the biggest lures i have caught fish on.
