  2. Thank You! Also, one more thing i have been meaning to ask is: What baitfish can i expect to find in the local ponds/lakes? Bluegill are obvious, Shad? Shiners? Crappie?
  3. Sir Snook, do you mind sending me a PM with the name of that place? Also I totally understand if you do not want to share.
  4. The bass in Boynton Beach better watch out!
  5. Any of you guys do it? It seems like weedless Hudds, rat baits and bull shads would work pretty well down there... I think they would give me a good chance for a big one!
  6. The angling dream team!
  7. WOW!! That last picture has got to be one of the thickest bass i have seen
  8. FLI Bassin…..If you break it down the Fl can be used for florida or Li for long island!
  9. Thanks guys! I'm getting the idea that Florida is mostly soft plastics!! Also, when do lipless cranks and swim jigs come into play down there? Also, when is topwater good time of year wise?(buzz frogs, spooks etc..)
  10. Maine has some d**n good striped bass fishing!
  11. Thanks guys, i guess i should be more specific. The times i will mainly be down there are christmas, mid february, mid april, and sometime over the summer for a quick weekend…does this help at all as to what lures i should primarily be using? Does topwater such as the buzz frogs/toads work well those time of year? If not, what does? Thanks!!
  12. My favorite would probably have to be the music my reel makes when a big bass is peeling drag!
  13. Hey guys!, My parents got a house in Boynton Beach and I'm super pumped! There is a nice looking pond right behind the house! Anyway, for all you florida fisherman: Are there any tips you are willing to share? What are the staple lures i NEED to have in my box to catch bass year round (mostly December- April) Any good local spots you know of? Also, it doesn't matter if its fresh or salt water! All tips/suggestions are welcome! Thanks
  14. Thanks, hopefully there are some 4-5lbers
  15. I forgot to mention I am staying in someone's house in canyon springs area who is on a decent looking little pond, could there be big bass in it
  16. Hello Florida anglers! I am going down to the boynton beach area very soon, and i see on google maps there are TONS of neighborhood ponds that all look promising, My question is: do most of these ponds hold big fish? Can i plan on possibly pulling out a 5,6,7 or maybe even a 10 pound bass out of one of these ponds? Thanks!
  17. Up north, I have caught multiple extremely light/yellow smallmouth and largemoth ok sand bar edges. They live on sand=they develop a similar color to camouflage
  18. It would help to know where you are located and what species you are specifically targeting.
  19. Hey guys, Like the title says, does what the bass eat change all that much throughout the year? Also, what about the size of the forage? The two main baitfish for bass here are bluegill and perch with some other species of panfish and minnows. I know in the southern states or western states it can change due to the combination of shad, trout, panfish etc... I think i will learn how to target the bass around me more effectively if i can learn how they react to the forage in the different seasons and what size they target!! Thanks!
  20. I have had some very good success with these frogs, but for the other guys who fish them…do you prefer the original 3.5 inch size or the bull frog at 4.5 inches? Also, what weight and size hook do you use? How does it compare to the rage toad? Thanks! Edit: Mods please move i meant to put it in fishing tackle. Thanks!
  21. Peanut butter and Nutella on white bread is the shiz
  22. Stanley ribbit bull frog, I like that extra inch.. It gives the frog a much bigger profile
  23. I believe it is a 3:16 wake jr
  24. IMO, Toho, I went with a guide who had a secret brush pile and we saw multiple 10lbets boil on our shiners! Didn't land any, but my dad caught a 9lber on a Carolina rig with a zoom fluke
  25. In past seasons, it has been: 1. 7 inch senko 2. Rapala skitter walk 3. Swim jig However this season i think the first two will change!
