i don't recommend running the knot through the guides for an extended period of time. i have found it wears on the knot and you could experience failure.
how do most guys do this? i saw a guy the other with a small foam float and whta apperead to be a little jig under it and he would cast it out and twitch it back.
what size jig heads? type of floats preferred? what type of plastics?

the stradic is tough to beat if you have the cash. another reel i am very impressed with is the shimano symetre. i actually use them more then stradic's
i have rather large hands (being 6'3"). i'm looking for a glove fairly easy to fish with. don't need anything to fancy but need something warm. any recomendations?
