  1. I don't tie through the waffle spool myself. I fish braid on everything. Ill maybe use a flouro leader from time to time . And as far as backing goes. I use electrical tape. Its honestly never failed me.
  2. For me its Junebug and Pumpkin! Ive not been brave enough to toss a red one yet.
  3. I love using the rage craw with a keel weighted hook. ( Rage Rig if im not mistaken ) Probably one of my most confident baits. You can catch fish in a puddle with those!
  4. That makes me feel better because I havent been and the one I was really worried about was my punching set up which is locked all the way down. But in the off season I might still do it .
  5. Do you all unload your drags from your reels when they are not in use? I wasnt sure if keeping the star drags cranked up is gonna cause any damage while not being used or even the spool tension as well. Don't want to cause any damage as these reels are not getting any cheaper. Thanks, Lee
  6. For me it would be my father whom I cannot fish with anymore. But there are days I swear hes watching me.
  7. Good thing you are an honest man.. Im sure someone somewhere is gonna get an earful!
  8. Im gonna go out on a limb and say FROGS might be it! Haha

  10. Please transfer to correct section. my mistake...
  11. Spook for me
  12. I currently use a heavy braid for my frog fishing and flipping jigs. The stuff I fish is very heavily covered in vegetation and I'm not worried about the line being noticeable. But my question is can you recommend a fluorocarbon lb test I can use to still toss a frog and jig into some cleaner water. I have a limited rod arsenal and would like to maybe throw a crank bait on it too as well. I don't know if heavy flouro will limit the baits action though. So what lb test should I try? I guess I'm kind of looking for a fluorocarbon lb test can get multiple uses out on a second bait caster set up. The second rod I'm trying to do this with is a 7.6 mh . Thank you
  13. Neither of my fishfinders have maps or navionics. But I do have a spare tablet kicking around and was curious if Its possible to purchase a map or navionics for it and use it on the boat? Thanks Lee
  14. Yaknow, I kind of miss that sound from my spinning reels from back in the day when there drag systems were louder. A good sound it is.
  15. I'm glad this was brought up, This is was my first season with a boat. I'm not gonna ask a fuel question because there are plenty of debates and threads in here about it. Living in New England I'm blessed enough to have a garage for my boat. But its about as insulated as an out house. Anyone fog there cylinders in the colder climates?
  16. Thanks man, was kind of figuring that for live bait situations maybe. Dont think ill be using that feature. Thanks for the reply
  17. LOL!! How bout an old school beastmaster?! Wasnt that a 2 speed reel? Pair it up to an old school shimano bullwhip rod while your at it!!!
  18. I recently purchased a revo 50 winch for throwing large swimbaits and this particular model has a line clicker? How and why is this function used? Thanks, Lee
