  1. Same here. I like the way I can palm the revos. But as far as braking systems, drags and so forth is what I was referring to. The hole Ford vs Chevy thing.
  2. Are any of you anglers out there brand loyal to your reels? As far as baitcasters anyway. I currently have 4 revo models that I use and was curious if Im missing out on some other cool stuff out there like diawa, shimano etc. The competition and technology must be close so these brands can remain in the top of there market....... Right?
  3. That pork rind above? That is my earliest memories of fishing. My Dads tackle box always had these in them. He never used them , they were just one of the random things in the bottom of that " metal tackle box' of his. too cool...
  4. YES!!!! Uncle Josh was it. hahahahah
  5. Welcome back!
  6. i wasnt even sure of they even made them anymore.
  7. Hey guys what ever happened to those gnarly pork chunks with the green and white spots that you veteran bass fisherman used to fish with?. Pig and Jig I believed it was called. I was not a bass fisherman at during the 80s but man do I remember that god awful smell. I believe they were used as a trailer? With that being said. Anyone still use their old school baits?
  8. I couldnt agree more. Yes I most certainly seen the polaroids.
  9. Congrats on a nice bass
  10. Negan is coming...... No spoilers here but if you read the comics at all..... Ouch!
  11. Is it a rivet model? Ive heard they will pull on water.
  12. One hell of a season starter!! Nice fish!
  13. Ya, I missed one already. You couldn't be any more correct. Gonna be staying with mercury and hope my controls will be the same. I'm thinking they might not be though if I go with a 2 stroke. I only say that because I believe with the oil injected models will require an added cable for the oil feed. But I may be wrong as well. My lil EFI four stroke is a great outboard. But Its older brother I want is d**n pricey. Seems like an average of a 100 dollars per horsepower.
  14. I certainly could. But honestly, I cant swing any more payments. Been pinching here and there. Saving when I can. Im not worried about traveling a bit. Considering going two stroke as well. Im gonna maybe find out and see if they even offer a trade in on a used outboard. Thanks for the info
  15. Sorry...... But the way this question shows up a bit short on the thread title!!!! footballs for me
  16. Welcome to the forums
  17. My current boat was a restricted hp set up and frankly..... Shes a barge!!!! Its a 2008 triton ts 17 and has a 2009 merc. 25 elpt 4 stroke on it. I have been considering going up on the outboard because of the waters Im fishing now. I feel Im in the boat pretty good in the boat as far as price goes. But has anyone bought a new one for it rather than used? Id like to go used and was curious if you could give me your thoughts on some reputable re-man marinas here in the northeast? Second, Has anyone gone the backwards way an gone from 4 to 2 a stroke? Im finding some better priceson some 2 smokes out there that are the same year as my 4 stroke Thanks, Lee
  18. Both of my spinning set ups have these guides, If you ever get the chance to cast one. You will be a believer......
  19. Man I was wondering how those hooks did. You really like them huh? Hmmmmmm
  20. Oh that doesn't bother me a bit man. Were here for questions and answers. And whether we like the answer to our questions is up to us. I simply asked a question. I have been wrong and now plan on doing things different. Knowledge is power......... Thanks, Lee Yup!!! I stopped that myself 2 years ago when I quit. I think everyone has habits whether good or bad. Owning up and accepting them and changing them is just what good people do.
  21. I use weighted swimbait hooks on a rage craw all the time. I like the keel weight design and have several different weights of them. It controls the fall speed very nicely and rigged weedless I never have an issue. When your dragging them across the thick stuff and find those little pockets without any cover it will sink right down in to them and............. BOOM!!! I get alot of strikes that way
  22. Im certainly glad I got to watch Peyton play the game. I was fortunate to be living in Knoxville when he played for the Vols. Gonna be missed. Would like to see him stay with the game though. Commentary or something.
