I am in the same boat when i go it everything plus the kitchen sink. I have a hard time leaving anything behind. I have no self-control

I use Norman and Bagley more than anything.

X2..I have a 6' 6" BPS cranking stick and have used crank baits way bigger than recommened and only issue i had was the occasional backlash. I have picked up another one for the bigger cranks but fished that for years with much larger baits and landed a 6lb 12oz on a deep diver with no issues.

These look pretty interesting. When I head to BPS during the spring classic I am going to have to get a couple packs to try. Seen Stacey King using a Jika rig this morning an thinking this might be a good bait for that especial this spring.

My dad rigged up and old Garcia and fiberglass pole to do that when I was a kid. Only word of warning is when the kite gets really high don't let go our you will be chasing your rod half way across the county . It would at times try to pull the rod out of my hands on real windy day but it was a blast.

I am going to work on spinnerbaits and jerk baits this spring. The summer will bring ledge fishing with deep diving crank baits. I have never had the patients and always went back to beating the banks but this year I am really going to push myself to stay out there. I may leave all my cranks at the house except for the deep divers to keep me from doing that.

These are not bad reels. i have had some of my Extremes for 7+ years that i still use. It looks like they have upgraded them from the plastic frame to all aluminum and those in your link have Dual braking system with mag and centrifugal. mine are so old that they only have the centrifugal and i am grandually replacing them but they have served me well for the price.

I like keeping the lure as close to the water as possiable so i use an under hand or a roll cast to do this.Casting over hand creates a high arc cast and creates a bigger wake.

Just wanted to say hello. I am a longtime lurker and excited join the posting ranks. I am a long time bass fisherman but got out of it for a few years and started back up last summer (stupid golf ) now back to doing what i truly love. I have to say I frequent this site every day reading the tip and suggestions from the members and have watch the many videos on this site and truely am greatful of the amount of great info being shared here.
