x2. I started using them this year and love them. Haven't seen a big difference with or without so its a plus for me to quickly swap lures without a retie
I like the Big Crankster at it's price point. I tried the Skeet rod and the KVD rod at $100 but the Mojo just feels better to me. It's a good rod and glad i picked it up.
Bass is a good fish to eat and I will keep some from time to time. I am am avid bass fisherman and love the sport but if I am fish hungry I will keep them as long as they are within my slot limit. If you are just wanting to eat fish you would get more out of catfish or crappie but hey it's within your rights to keep watch you catch as long as you are following the law.
I am going to start using one i purchased for 99 cents. Basically i am just using it to get waypoints so i can mark on my hard maps but will only use it if i get on a good spot and not for every fish i catch. i don't have an unit that keeps track of waypoints so i use my phone until I can get a depth finder that does have that feature then the phone will be used as a phone agian and in the bag.
But back to this one unless it has a fishfinder on it then thier are much cheaper options than this one and i rather spend that money on a lure or something else.
going to work on Jerkbaits this spring, Ledge fishing with Deep diving crankbaits, spinnerbaits and the Jika rig this year. May throw a couple other things in thier but that's my primary goals for this year
I picked up a tube of Megastrike at DSG over the weekend from the positive posts on this site and can't wait to give it a try soon. With that said I used YUM and Bang and had Ok results with them but giving MegaStrike the primary spot this year to see how it does.
My choice in is 10lb for deeper diving but I have used 12lb and couldn't tell much difference. you can use the 6'6" rod because i have but its much easier to cast longer distance with a longer rod when fishing deeper and the farther the cast the deeper your bait will go. If you get it and like fishing deep diving cranks you can always sell or repurpose the 6'6" rod and get a bigger one later.
That's what i did.
I usually pack water, couple cans of soda, some fruit and homemade snack sticks or Jerky. I like to have food that is quick to eat so i can get back to fishing ASAP.
Looks like you had a blast..I never been to a Classic and I am only 4 hours from Guntersville so i may be just making that trip next year and knock that one off my bucket list plus i can stop by Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur and knock that one off too.
Ordered my first Rod online from them right before Christmas. Didn't know about them till i read good reviews about them on this site. I will only order rods from them online from now on because they were fast and don't charge an extra $6 like BPS does.
