  1. The 100$ one on tackle warehouse, how does everyone like it? Might snag one up at the Labor Day sale...
  2. I just can't get them to catch fish like I see EVERYONE else do. I've bought coustom jigs to stock ones, rages to paca craws and I just can't consistently get bit.. All the jig fish I catch are honestly when I'm throwing them off my friends dock for fun and all little bass... I mainly only fish a 170 acre lake loaded with bass. I throw on a jig and pitch docks for hours and nothing, then I try grass and weeds and catch a pike or two or maybe 1 tiny random bass but never anything.. In a month I plan on ordering from siebert to get just my last ditch effort to catch bass on jigs. I'm looking for some advice on all around jigs or just what you'd use. There's so many options and I've read the pinned section on jigs an everything but still feel like I'm not catching like I should be.. I'm fishing all less than 6ft of water, most of the bottom is Eurasian milfoil covered, around and under most docks is rock/sand. Few scattered laydowns. Clarity wise, I can see the bottom in 3-4ft of water with my s11 glasses on. Bluegill/pumpkinseed is dominate forage forsure. Can someone just help me and tell me what I'm missing? Or point me out to a few jig colors and head types you'd use in my situation that you can buy from siebert? Thanks a ton guys..
  3. I don't bag groceries or fries either... I flip burgers and construct the best burgers in town... Man I love working at the burger joint...
  4. How do I know when to throw a 1/2oz compared to a 3/8th? I rarely fish any water over 6 feet deep. But I also have only tried jigs pitching to shore cover.
  5. I fish hours on end with a jig around a lake loaded with largemouth about 200acres throwing every lay down and dock I see but I can't get bite. But ill go off the dock and take a cast and ill catch a tiny one... I think it may be my line?? 7'2" powell diesel rod Black max reel 50lb pp braid 1/2oz big o siebert jig with rage craw trailer But I do enjoy pitchin jigs a lot. I just wish I caught fish more often .
  6. If fish are shallow, a buzz bait can pull them out if they're aggressive. I make multiple casts to the same target and eventually they'll get so mad and have to bite it.
  7. I'm about to turn 16, I've worked 30 hour weeks just about all summer now it's my time to treat myself and I think siebert is the way to do so.. But my dilemma is not knowing what to get.. How are the punching rigs? Is the "blue gill" skirt worth trying?? I fish mostly were gills are the main forage. Has anyone tried his swim jigs? They look good to the eye and they're cheap. And lastly, are the rattle bands durable? I love wire tie but since the water I fish is so dark I almost think rattle bands would help.. Thanks a ton for the advice!
  8. Will work just fine!! Goodluck and hope you do well with then
  9. Don't buy a cheap shakespear or something not of quality you'll out grow It in a week and it won't help your learning experience at all.
  10. A1 steak sauce describes the lakes I've been fishing lately after the storms...
  11. If only I could beat that monkey with all the crap things it makes me buy..
  12. I can't even get bit on a dam frog..
  13. I almost feel the same way haha
  14. Or I like a SK tri wing buzzbait with no skirt but a 4" white grub on the hook.
  15. A black Cavitron
  16. I know the feeling. Milfoil is killing me here in wisconsin
  17. I bring more than one rod because I can't throw a frog over pads with my drop shot rod
  18. On my iPhone 4 the mobile loads okay, but it likes to double post... A lot
  19. Spinnerbait, can fish above weeds, down low and slow roll it. Any color water. I just always have confidence in a spinnerbait
  20. I dam fish quite a bit since I'm only 15, and I see guys throw cranks a lot and minnow baits for reaction bites. I've also seen heavy spinnerbaits used. And the all so common, LIVE BAIT.
  21. Find a old broken mh and hack saw it off till it's the length you like, may only have a few guides but hey it works haha. I do that with all the broken tips on my rods, they still catch fish.
  22. I see a lot of people take quality reels and super tune them. I don't have many high quality bass reels but I have a revo toro winch 60 which I use for musky fishing. What does all the super tuning do? Is drag upgrade included in this? Does it make me cast farther and the reel work better?
  23. I think ill get the rod from TW during their Labor Day sale! Thanks everyone for the advice!
  24. I've never thought about it like that. I might have to stop pegging..
