  1. Haha, whitewater has a sweet team to! Where are you located? I'm closer to point. I'm a little north of Wausau.
  2. I know I'm only 15 1/2 but I really love the fishing atmosphere and would love to fish on a college team. But don't know much about them.. I'm looking to get into University of Stevens Point (Wisconsin) and be one of the team members. What does it take to become a college angler? Do you make a resume? Portfolio of pictures? I know I have a ways to go, I'm just looking for goals to shoot for. Thanks a ton, Cole
  3. When fishing from the bank on very high pressured lakes the key is to fish baits the fish haven't seen. If everyone's throwing a green pumpkin work, throw a red one or even pink. Just that slight difference can cause a bass to bite. My favorite shore fishing baits are.. 1.) weightless wacky rigged worms 2.) small spinnerbaits 3.) pop'rs 4.) mepps #3 's
  4. I'd love to have even one of those bags haha. Rage products outright catch fish
  5. Do you just chuck and wind the j7's? Or have a cadence of some sort?
  6. Everyone is using suspending jerkbaits these days. I haven't heard of anyone mention using old floating rapalas or floating stick baits. I have a box of these, from rouges to rapalas. Anybody use these still?
  7. Just a longer pause in colder water, and more erratic in warmer!
  8. I haven't fished jigs yet (hoping to soon) but I've thrown a t rig with so many different plastics in different situations. I always have the bullet weigh and a nice hook on a rod for a t rig. When a situation presents itself I can rig a plastic accordingly.
  9. Is the x-rap a good jerkbait?
  10. I know when I started to T-rig 6" ribbiontail worms my problem was I fished them WAY to fast without realizing it. I learned to compensate this with using spinning gear and watching line more instead of reeling in to feel the line before I set the hook if that makes sense.
  11. I'm just 15 1/2 and I live in northern Wisconsin In a huge smallie and trout infested streams an cricks. I personally target trout and smallies different. Where I catch bigger smallies is in a tributaries that are a little but bigger in size than trout cricks. Every stream and water is different around here so you just have to bank fish and experiment with baits and walk through some tough brush and stuff to find the big ones. Small mouths are so much different from LMB. If your trying to catch SMB don't think about LMB. Just start completely from scratch. Personally, grubs/walleye jigs and 4" worms are my favorites with occasional jerkbaits. Hope I helped
  12. Hot mustard yellow colored Rapala Rippin' Rap
  13. The hardest but best way to gain confidence is just fish it. Once you get one, you'll get two and find the patten. That 7$ bag of plastic will be gone before you know it.
  14. Suspending limited eddition rouge. It's cheap. And it always catches bass and walleye
  15. SK RES Suspending rouges Poppers Bomber square A bill crank Rapala Ripin Rap
  16. The senko is the slowest bait I fish. I've caught walleyes on it SMB and LMB just letting it sit there on a rock in the water.
  17. Spinnerbaits have always landed me the biggest ones. And big crankbaits. Or musky baits.
  18. Would it be dumb to throw buzzbaits and poppers and frogs in shallow colder water? Or are the bass not going to attack it becsuse of the cold water temps. Around 40's and 50's
  19. I'm by far no seasons smallie expert, but I fish a crick and river by my house an a brown senko or even Walmart knock off has always caught me the most. A jig and mister twister.
  20. Never can go wrong with a suspending jerk bait. The limited edition rattling rouge with gammy hooks is my favorite ..
  21. This could help.. http://*.com/rigging-big-worms-hooks/
  22. I can't think what the right name for it is, but I always with live night crawlers have my main line hook, then tie a seperate line to hook eye with another hook at the end at the back of the worm. Could be treble or normal hook. Hope that helps!
  23. A confidence thing, the 2.5 lands big fish though...
  24. KVD 1.5 vote..
  25. If I have a all hair jig, do I still use like a rage chunk trailer?
