Sounds like the foam blocks(styrofoam?) have gotton water logged. Which will add alot of weight. Need time to dry. Your boat wont completly sink if theres a leak. Adding expanding foam after a good drying time works.
Very good baits. Ive been using the spinnerbaits. Bought 20 years ago, still catchin fish with them. They get heavy use and replacing a blade, skirt or sharping hook over all that time is well worth the time. To date i have not have one wire break.
Those same containers can be had for alot less. Go to hobby lobby. they have the same thing but different company. Use a 40% off coupon off their app. less than 10.00 apiece. And at 30 packs youll need 2. Just tryin to find a open hobby lobby
Im currently using size 1500 reels ive had for 12 years. They are shimano sedonas. Not made anymore, but have been excellent reels at bring in big fish, with a properly set drag. Picked up 6 extra spools for different line type or extra. When they die, ill be ordering more of the same size.
Ive used it quite often, the last few years. My wife uses 3-Omega spincast reels. The line has worked really well in them. Has stood up to alot of abuse, and quite a few bass in the 5.5lb range numerous times.
The last time i used straight floro,it lasted 1.2 seconds after i put it all in my fire pit
Im sure it was a bad spool/batch,but i need to try again i guess.
Theres are reasons this reel is still made. Quality dependable reel with a good line lay. The ones i have were made in japan. The newer ones malaysia. The lack of antireverse is really not that big of a deal. If i remember right, all reels were this way and fish were still caught.
I use size 2 or 3. But every time i ordered the black split rings, they always send the silver. It wasnt worth time sending them back,as i needed them asap. But if you want black,id call to verify
