I was wondering if it would be wise to throw a 1oz jig to find structure in the main lake cause I am not really that adept at feeling the structure or bottom unless the lure has some weight. But that's probably what everyone does out there. Maybe once I find the cover I can drop shot it? Decent idea?

I really appreciate the advice. Ill go to bass pro and pick up some rage shad and lizards n toads. I have yet to fish with them. But have heard some good stuff. Thanks for the welcome. Have been fishing for years and all my friends say I over analyze things and think too hard about it so I figured I woukd try and find people who understand that there is more to fishing than meets the eye, a little braain work can make all the difference.

A bud and I are going to fish a small, clear water lake Sunday. I was just looking for some advice. Im thinking drop shotting, main lake points since it should be pretty hot, 100 plus. Or would it be better to throw a big bait and fish slow? Thanks for any help y'all can provide
