  1. I have used both the strike king finesse worm and zoom trick worm in gin clear creeks. The trick worm has way more tail wiggle/action versus the strike king worm. This really suprised me, as I have seen other strike king products with tons of action. So, to sum it up, I would give the strike king finesse worm the nod ONLY in cold water conditions.
  2. I have a 597 humminbird ci down imaging. I went ahead and mounted th finder and transducer on a swiveling arm for fear of losing sensitivity. Thanks guys.
  3. Is it true that through hull installation (for kayaks) reduces the capabilities of your down imaging?
  4. I would say the big one looks 7ish.
  5. Awesome looking kayak and happy veteran's day!!
  6. Shade in the summer, especially on bright, sunny days, and sun during the winter.
  7. Search for a thread goose did on a rapala mini digital scale. Mine doesn't drain battery and is very accurate. I'll probably pick up a cheap lip gripper so I don't have to attach the scale hook to the fish
  8. That's what I meant, the cam lock straps. I have the NRS 1", and they have worked great so far.
  9. They make foam blocks for that purpose along with helping to not damage the kayak. About tying it to the roof with no rack, I don't have any experience with this and couldn't tell you how effective this would be. Hopefully an experienced kayaker can answer this for you.
  10. I agree that you should look on Craigslist. I just recently searched Craigslist for over a month looking for the right used kayak at the right price. My endless toiling finally paid off in the form of a 2013 perception pescador SOT. I got it for a considerable discount, and it seems to be everything I need in a starter kayak. All the reviews for this kayak are outstanding, and everyone agrees that it is great value for a reasonable price. I have yet to take it out but will post a review soon. Good luck with the search! ps Since you have a Tahoe, you could easily strap down the kayak, assuming it isnt over 80 lbs or so, with ratchet straps and avoid the cost of a trailer.
  11. I can't picture this in my head pics please. I applaud your innovation and thinking outside of the box!
  12. I hated invisx fluoro on my spinning reel. It fished like dental floss.
  13. Yep. Me and my buddy went bank fishing at his new honey hole yesterday. I ended up with 11 and he got 8. He also got lunch.
  14. Excellent write up Paul!
  15. Good call, you're right! Yeah, that was the first one and a good one too.
  16. I have to go at least twice a week. That episode is my favorite as well. It was the very 1st episode I think.
  17. Sadly, a CHL might be necessary in our world today. He should get the death penalty but probably won't because he's not 18.
  18. They went right back out and fished in the storms yesterday according to the news. It happened about 45 minutes from me.
  19. I agree that the line isn't the best. I've had light line do the same thing when I grabbed the line, so I never do that anymore. When you grab the line, the bass will usually make another run or jump and thrash their head, assuming they have any energy left to expend. There is no drag to let out when you are grabbing the line, resulting in the line break. I just hold the rod back with one hand and lip them with the other.
  20. I caught a couple tonight on dead still water with a chatterbait.
  21. Awesome, thanks guys. I should've known with y'all's generosity sharing information, y'all would have no problem sharing a seat!
  22. Do you need your own boat to attend?
  23. Get the super fluke. I like the ones with salt. I usually tx rig weightless with a 3-4/0 hook.Cast out and let sink on a semi-slack line. Lift up your rod tip after a few seconds, and if nothing is on your line, work it back to you with a jerk jerk pause technique.
