    New Here

hello everyone, i'm new to the site i've learned alot from this website so i figured i would join the forum, was just wondering if anyone fishes any of the lakes around eastern ky. thanks
  3. i fish a local pond alot like you described and i agree with some of the others i would go to a carolina rig.i fished with a texas rig in my local pond till i was blue in the face with little success and switched to a c-rig and started wearing them out. most ppl use big worms or lizards but i've done better in that pond by using a 4 inch zoom lizard.hope this helps
  4. i'm new to the thread and from eastern ky i was just wondering if anyone on here is close by or fishes any of the lakes around here.
  5. id go with the baby hog as well but also the super hogs are very good too, i rig the baby brush on 3/16 weight and 2/0 hook the super hog which is short and fat i use a 5/0 trokar it is perfect to go right thru the legs and just pinch into the plastic summer craw and any black and blue combo works great for me in stained water.
  6. good pics i do really wel here in eastern ky with the rage craws, another good way i've found of rigging them is on the buckeye spot remover shakey head jig it makes them stand up
  7. i was fishing a tournament with my bass club Sunday on the ohio river the fishing was very tough that day.on Wednesday of the week before me and my buddy pre fished it i caught 5 with 4 being keepers so my hopes where high going into sunday, but for some reason i couldn't get the one over 12inches to bite(thats the size limit on the river).about midday i missed one off a small tree i cast right back in there and its a solid 3 pounder and it gets off at the boat that was tough but i tried to forget about it and keep fishing two casts later i hook a good smallmouth and sure enough it gets off at the boat too. that just really hurt to hook two good fish when it had been tough anyway
