  1. get you a strike king hack attack jif and match it up with a rage craw it's a good quality bass catcher for me.
  2. i'm lucky enough now to have a few rods for different soft plastics, but when i just fished with two rods i never removed the hook with the soft plastic bait, but most ribbon tail worms are pretty thin so what i did if it tore the worm up taking it off the hook is just bite some off the top when i go use it again so the hook pops out in a differnet spot. it does shorten the worm some but you get about two uses out of it. i mainly throw strike king rage craws on an owner hook with a twist lock and if im not getting bites on them i've used the same craw numerous times and just keep putting it back in the pack.
  3. awesome fish man congrats!
  4. i ended up getting it figured out, the bearing that goes over the reel handle shaft had fell out and i didn't realize it. The reel is woking fine now. thanks for the suggestions though.

  12. i feel the same way, i bought my boat last year and have doubled my fishing tackle since i have more places to store it now. i fish out of my boat most of the time but when i do go with a buddy i just hate trying to decide what to leave at home and what to take and if it's one of those days and the bite is tough i'm always thinking if i was on my boat i would have some more things to try lol. it probably wouldn't matter anyway but i guess it's just a mental thing
  13. I call em rock bass
  14. here is another one i caught
  15. went to the lake today, it was supposed to be sunny and 58 degrees but it ended up being 50 and overcast. Between me and my buddy we caught 7 the water temps was 48 degrees i caught this one on a spro mcstick jerkbait and 2 more 2lbers on a black/blue jig. It was a tough day really all the fish we caught were on points leading in to spawn pockets they seem to be starting to move up to spawn this week coming is supposed to be in the 60's so next weekend should be good. Hope everyone has fun on the water.

  20. i do it more by feel i set it and pull on the line right above the line guide i tighten it until it's got good resistiance coming off the spool. Then when i hook a fish if it pulls drag on the hookset i will tighten it a little bit more, and just loosen it as need be it is too tight reelinf in the fish. imo i don't look too much into it really you will know when it feels right.
  21. imo the buckeye mop jig and mini mop jig are your big fish catchers. This is the first year i've thrown them but i'm very impressed with the flare on the skirt
  22. if youcan catch the dobyns champion series on sale again id try to get one of those for jigs 7'3-7'6 mh-H, and id go with a chronarch reel from shimano it's a great reel for 200 bucks.
