  2. For me that alone is worth the price of Bassmaster. Being able to see those thought processes and what led to them is fantastic. And also seeing their mistakes makes me more conscious of my own.
  3. I vote for Bassmaster even though I find it's occasionally uneven in quality. You get one issue that's fantastic and the next might be average. I don't mind BAM but I have problems with its writing quality -- there an awfully large amount of spelling, grammatical and syntax errors in each issue for a professional magazine -- and the last issue really rubbed me the wrong way with articles that seemed more advertorials then reportage.
  4. Hmmm, interesting. I haven't noticed any so hopefully it is brand specific and I lucked out.
  5. Really? What sorts of issues? I use 10-14lb fluorocarbon on my spinning reels almost exclusively and haven't seen any problems. To be truthful, the old criticisms of memory and knot strength haven't even been issues.
  6. All the clothes I wear fishing tend to be natural colours but that's only because I tend to wear natural colours all the time. Whether you're wearing cam, natural colours or something flourescent, the fish is seeing a giant moving 6 foot shadow from shore, or bigger if you're in a boat.
  7. I think I did the quiz a couple of months ago...passed but never received a thing. Not complaining, mind you. A pity though, I wanted to give them a trial run.
  8. Copper yes, but our bread and butter is nickel. We are, after all, the home of the Big Nickel :-)
  9. Just heard about this web site through an ad in the Summer issue of Bass Angler Magazine and thought I'd check it out. From what I've seen so far, a very impressive web site! A little about me: Born and raised northern Canadian. Obviously love fishing -- particularly bass -- and also Jeeps, football, the ladies and a good rye whiskey. I class myself as an intermediate fisher so I'll be learning more than contributing but hopefully I can pull my weight in these forums. Can't wait to dig in and get to know you guys and gals!
