  1. I've fishing a big glide that's made here locally, It ain't cheap in fact it's kinda crazy and probably grounds for divorce. But.. It's surprising the big fish that will show themselves and follow it. At least you know they are there even if they don't commit, I toss a senko or some kind of clean up bait in after them. Personally, I'd rather see that big one chase than catch a dozen shorts.
  2. Next to Tatsu, Invisx is the best handling flouro I've used. I would highly doubt that the spool is bad either. If it breaks close to the knot it either got nicked on something or possibly burned when you cinched it down. Always wet the knot.
  3. Really great rods. I have the Ehler AGS been impressed with it.
  4. I threw them some back in the day . I personally never thought they had the same hunting action as a good running wart. We used to throw the standard wart on 6lb line to get them deeper as the fish pulled off the bank further. These days I would just buy a RK crawler
  5. The lizard dragger was designed to be a c-rig rod and I used it for that and 1/2-5/8 oz football jigs for years. In the summer I used it to drag 'ol monsters. Overall a great rod. I have the Cara T7. I've been using a Steeze AGS BC2 for awhile and it balances fine but it's really not a fair comparison of course.
  6. I've had one of each of the '24 series. I think the World class and Elite are really good. Maybe it was the ties to Pure fishing that kept them from selling. Fenwick was a part of bass fishing history much like Lew's but both are just a name to use for marketing now.
  7. Of those choices, the Zodias.
  8. Just my opinion but I'm kind of surprised that Shimano/Loomis has stayed with the Conquest. To my understanding it was never intended to be a more sensitive rod than NRX ( it Isn't in my hands) it was meant to have more torsional strength than NRX. Now that spiral x has been added to NRX+ I can't see the need for it.
  9. Since your opinion drives the industry I'm sure Shimano/Loomis will start the redesign immediately.
  10. Delivery guy: Can you sign for the package ma'am ? My wife : sure Delivery guy: what's in here anyway ? My wife : a fishing rod. Delivery guy: you only have to sign if the value is over $ 500. Who buys a $ 500 fishing rod ? my wife : my husband.
  11. Because in cold water they just aren't as active. IMHO about 53 degrees is where they will start to chase a wiggle wart. I like 55 and up. Mike McClelland designed the RC to be a deeper version of the wart. Spro has several versions of it now including the 50 size. Back in the day we used to throw the wart on 6lb line on a bait caster in a effort to get it deeper.
  12. The most important thing when fishing a Rk Crawler or wiggle wart is to get it down in the rocks or bottom and bouncing around and digging. They don't pull like a 6xd or dd22 but it's just a different technique than a squarebill. I can tell you that they guy who designed the Rk crawler lives on Table Rock and he fishes it on a 5:1 in the winter and 6:1 as the water warms up.
