  1. Blue lagoon you'll need a boat for sure, tell us where your at I'm sure we can help you find some local spots to try that you can bank fish at.
  2. The "finger canals" are still doing well. Just try early in the morning or after the evening rain.
  3. LOL They tear up my frogs and spinnerbaits, and I enjoy catching bass over snakeheads any day.
  4. Jika rig keeps the lure off the bottom while at the same time giving it a more horizontal presentation.
  5. Not a big fain of fishing lox. Its bit to much work with my slow boat, but still nice fish.
  6. To have no snakeheads. If only....
  7. I think you should try crocks and zooboo pants!
  8. shakey head or a spoon..
  9. future... chop chop!
  10. With out a boat south Florida summer fishing gets a bit harder, best bet is to start asking around or looking for peacocks.... Hoter it is beter the action gets with peas. Side note had a good run this morning in the Everglades just short of an average of 40 fish per hour, with the biggest little over 5 pounds. As for snakeheads thay get even more so aggressive In the summer months as to why you'll tend to see less bass on the banks.
  11. BPS Stik-O
  12. Not a big fan of yamamoto products but SIGH I have to agree... As it stands right now its the best swim jig/ spinnerbait trailer I've found.
  13. That would be an awesome color to have in a Black Series jig. I think that would be my summer go to jig in Florida...
  14. The difference is In 1984, after 10 years of study, Florida officials deliberately introduced butterfly peacock bass and speckled peacock bass to the southern region of Florida.
  15. Both types of jigs have there place, I tend to use tx -rig jig more in the summer months. I do agree on the hook set and find it a bit less work then a standard jig. BTW A-Jay that plastic is wicked looking...
  16. Nice fish! Fly fishing for peacock bass is my passion. I wish we had Red Devils/midas cichlid that big is south florida....
  17. The same is done in most of south Florida's canal systems....
  18. cyclops2 I've tested many brands of braid, for most of my setups I ended up with power pro. I'm playing with Spider Wire on one set up but don't see much of a change. This year I've changed all my spinning combos over to braid, and if needed add a leader of mono or fluoro depending on what I'm throwing.
  19. Outstanding.... thanks for the laugh.
  20. The biggest bass this year on my boat was with a northstar, to bad it was not my fish. My 14 year old nephew, and yes he reminds of it every time we go out. I had to buy my nephew his own rod/real setup and order him some jigs. Thanks a lot chris lost my bet on biggest this year.....
  21. Shiners or jigs but its all about your location
  22. Its to bad the young anglers hear don't understand that.... If the snakeheads are not keep in check it once again become a problem. If that's allowed to happen the problem will spread to adjacent systems as the snakehead dominates the food chain eventually most LMB will be targeted as a food source.
