  1. DO NOT try to shift the boat into gear while the motor is not running, you can cause damage. If you must shift the motor while not running you MUST have someone turning the prop by hand while you attempt to shift.
  2. You have experience fishing Blue Marsh?
  3. Yes the password is...... S E N K O
  4. I fish this division and the website is accurate. We have one more qualifier for this season next Saturday anyone can enter and then our 2 day the following weekend. All you have to do is be an ABA member and you can fish any divisional qualifying event. I'm not sure if you have to fish a certain amount of qualifying events to fish the divisional championship or not. We are a draw format where non boaters and boaters do all compete against each other. The boater has 100% say in where we fish, boaters fish from the front and non boaters fish from the back. It's the standard for the non boater to give the boater $20 for gas/launch fee help. We draw from a hat each morning for pairings. It's $75+ $5 big fish to enter or if you pre-register online it's $70 + $5 plus the additional $20 to pay your boater. Just call our director Don Philpot for any additional questions/details or ask me. The "2016 Early Bird" events are actually the beginning of the 2016 season that take place this fishing season, that's just how it's scheduled every year in every division. http://www.njabadivision10.com/2015-tournament-schedule http://www.americanbassanglers.com/districts2015.php?Division=10
  5. Little problem? Sounds pretty major to me, that freakin sucks! I'm curious how this story ended, what did you friend do with the boat that night? How did he eventually get it out of the water?
  6. This, usually proximity to home and time available to fish are why I am on the local trolling lakes often with my bass boat. As far as the Ranger worm and bobber guy, maybe he was crappie fishing or something?
  7. Had a great trip
  8. Great news! I'm comming up to North Hero from the 11-15th next week. Can't wait
  9. Nice vid! Did you see the video I posted here w/ the giant Love that lake! Say hi if you see me out there, red and white nitro.
  10. Thats a good starting point, I'd also suggest shallower throwing jerkbaits for the smallmouth.
  11. 7.15lbs, nice fish!
  12. Thanks, ya she was barely hooked only 1 hook of the rear treble. I would have love to wear her out just a little but didn't want to risk losing her, she hit close to the boat. Cranks this time of year produce the most biggins for me with the occasional jig pig also
  13. Thanks! The big girl hit on a crankbait, DT6. But of all the fish it was jigs, jerkbaits and crankbaits. Low gear ratio on that cranking setup.
  14. Here's a visual report of some early spring bassing in the Pocono Mountains. The big girl went 7.65lbs Water temps have been in the mid to upper 50's and rising the past couple weeks.
  15. Kind of, on a high performance bass boat it is also acts as your rudder when fully on plane. If you were running top speed trimmed out all the way and your skeg were to break off, very very bad things can happen. On a 20hp though if the LU checks out fine I wouldnt worry to much about it.
  16. Boat currently sits outside, plan on putting in one of those 14 x 28 w/ a 10x7 door prebuilt garages by next winter in a home I'm in the process of purchasing. Currently it has a 12x24 attatched garage with a 9x7 door but w/ only a 105" opening and boat trailer being 102" tire to tire that may be quite difficult to get it in and out of there on a regular basis
  17. No problem man, I added another video. It's a tough lake any bites feel quite rewarding
  18. It depends on the time of year and the conditions on any given day. I've had success in the main lakes coves, as well as the main lake shoreline where you find grass patches. They can also be found on the cover in the creeks but like I said some days can be great and others will just leave you scratching your head no matter what you try. Top water on the main lake can also be great when you see surface activity. My best advice would be for that lake is keep moving until you hopefully find the active ones Some summer main lake action Some fall top water action
  19. What happens if you accidently catch a bass when fishing for lunker sized panfish?
  20. I fish Beltz pretty frequently, at least a few times a month. I don't know it all that well but it's a tough lake no doubt. Some days go suprisingly well other days just leave you scratching your head.
  21. It would be to long now boys!! First week of April is looking real good if not sooner
  22. This to, gotta be careful out there
  23. Its very easy...... just get a long rope with a bow hook. Back the trailer in so the boat can float off, disconnect winch give it a push tie it up. End of day tie up boat at the ramp back trailer in slightly further than you would power loading, walk to boat, push the boat out, pull on rope to bring the boat on the trailer hook up winch and crank. Loading and unloading should take roughly 3-5 minutes each on the ramp. People tend to make this way more complicated than it has to be lol.
  24. ^^ This I love Lake Champlain!!
