  1. I try and find nice long sleeve sun protection shirts and get them in crazy colors. I am not very brand loyal and will buy what looks nice with no regard of which fishing brand is represented on the shirt.
  2. 1. I do find value in being able to fish a variety of water, it keeps things fresh! 2. I would pay to be able to fish private waters that are better than what I currently fish. I am currently on a awaiting list for a private lake. 3. I would be willing to pay a membership up to $100 per year. 4. Probably not, for fishing preferences, I prefer word of mouth from trusted friends.
  3. My son is 4 almost 5 and he and I go fishing together when he wants to. Right now I do not bring any of my stuff when he and I go fishing together, I just help him. We also leave almost as soon as he starts to complain. I want him to enjoy the experience as much as possible so that when he gets older we can continue to fish together. I also have made fun games in our backyard for him to practice casting, so he can continue to be more self reliant. I try to set those up whenever he mentions it. He also helps me pick out lures when I go shopping, again, just gives him a bit of ownership of the experience. With my dad.
  4. My favorite has been the strike king red eye. I have caught a lot of fish on it, plus my PB fish.
  5. I would choose a privately owned lake in central Kansas. I have fished it a few times with a member and it has been solid for producing quality and quantity over the years.
  6. Original on pretty much everything for me.
  7. Love seeing this, I hope you continue and look at other brands too, I would like to see how Berkley Fusion hooks look!
  8. I keep my soft plastics in their original bags, which are then placed in gallon sized bags of the same style baits.
  9. Not a bad swimmer, could certainly get to shore on the small places I fish.
  10. Most of my success with a chatterbait has been with a 3/8 oz version. Try one of each size and fish it a variety of ways and load up on the one or ones that feel like they fish the best for your situations.
  11. Made a run to Cabela's with some Christmas gift cards.
  12. Hope this goes better than my last place finish in Fantasy Football!
  13. Great insight everyone, especially when talking about the differences between standing timber and laydowns.
  14. Hey guys and gals, just wanting some feedback on what you would use to pick apart a lake full of cedar trees. Feel free to be as brief or long winded as you want! Thanks!
  15. Has anyone tried Texas rigging a Zman TRD? They are listed at 2.75" and I didnt know how much difference that 1/4 inch would make in terms of which hook to use.
