  1. bshaner, I can't help you,BUT you can help me. I have the same TM (2005) I took the prop off of it the other day to get some fishing line out, and I noticed that it dosn't have any kind of sheer pin. It was just held on by the pressure of the hub nut. Is this the same as yours?
  2. One thing I still do and I did it at my first tourny. Is be there early enough you can get in the water ,away from the ramp and sit in your boat and take a deep breath and relax. Then go with your game plan weather it be sit in one spot or move all day long. Its your money and time do what you like to do.
  3. Flukes are my favorite, Senkos, then everything in the boat
  4. Boat: Ranger 521VX Tow: 2004 Yukon XL ( 122,000mi still going )
  5. They take lots of photos, but no TV that I know of. We get new Triton TR21X's W/ Merc.250s on them to fish out of. Its the same boats that will be used in the classic.
  6. Well to add onto this post, I fish the BASS Weekend series and you are allowed to use a net. Then in the regional event you were allowed to use a net. Now getting ready to go to the Nationials at Gunttersville, you can not use a net to land your fish. Whats up with that? :-/
  7. check the Yamaha, they sometimes offer a 5 year warranty in the beginning of boating season and for $2700.00 you buy an extended warranty. I'm a Yamaha fan. I love their motors. But I cant say anything about the E-Tec's, I haven't owned one and I dont know anybody who is running one.
  8. RW, you need to kill this one.its been beat to death
  9. The rails are made of some type of lexan an they have a light that makes them light up!! We have a friend who is on his fourth BassCat now and he love them. Now we get to ask him " WHO PIMPED YOUR BOAT" . and there is no way his can run any faster then 68MPH w/ Merc 225 on it.
  10. I think it will help their sales, I'm yet to see one on the water that would run 80MPH?
  11. The size of your boat is up to you and your budget, If you get a smaller boat just pick the days you go, and the places you go. As for the power on a boat, I would say you want to put the max HP that the boat is rated for. It will proform much better, and when the time comes it will help in re-sale( There is nothing worse then an underpowered boat ) Good Luck
  12. cabela, I'v had some of the best non-boaters do stupid stuff in my boat. I'v had them spill a bottel of Spike-It on the seat, had one step on a bottel of Lunker Sauce, had two that when they went to net fish, got it caught up in my rods and knocked one over( one was recovered) and the most recent was my non-boater had to bump a fish and two seconds later I hherd a splash and there that went. He was a nice guy and called Ranger from the boat ramp and had a new one sent to my house the next day. All in all I enjoy having a non-boater, but they will not take control of the boat. I will go and fish their water if they want to and I will let them fish first but thats as far as it goes.
  13. If your a Walleye fisherman, do you have to talk funny " ahh" ;D ;D
  14. Wait a min., I may be wrong and you guys can correct me, but the ABA/Bass weekend series is the same as it was last year, Boaters against boaters and Non-boaters against non-boaters, no shared weight and the non-boaters have a 3 fish limit. The other ABA events may have a different set of rules and I never looked at them since we are talking about the ABA/BASS merger which only concerns the weekend series. As for compeating against a non-boater in the back of your boat, that is how most local clubs do it,
  15. Most bassboats that have brakes, wont back up if you unhook your lights
