  1. Welcome! fellow new Yorker here.
  2. Welcome!
  3. tournament pro. getting another one soon
  4. They are now all important to me. but its all about presentation my first bait caster was a 7.1. used it for everything crank, jigs, top water you name it. I still caught fish . Later I realized that each turn of the handle was cranking so much line, even if I was reeling slow. So with presentations that I wanted to fish slower, it was still very fast. I have now learned my lesson haha and have been using the right reel for the things I want to do. Rod always used a 7 foot medium heavy. which will get the job done. But I have found different rods that I like for specific applications. line same thing I use fluro, mono , and braid all for different presentations.

  14. black and blue or black and red doesn't matter to me. they both catch fish. and haven't seen much of difference
  15. yeah my wal mart had a sale last year stocked up on the clear and bone white colors. along with a few other. the clear works well. I put a stripe or something on the bottom if I feel I need to. they work well.
  16. I like 1/2 oz for dragging around rock piles and looking for stuff on the bottom. but most of the time if im skipping docks or fishing a jig around grass its 1/4 to 3/8oz
  17. beetle spin has been on my list of this to try when the bite is tough but I always seem to resort back to a 4inch senko and fish it wacky. I have like 30 beetle spins and never fish them.
  18. I bring a decent about of stuff but it all depends on where I'm going, and the time of the year. I have spots where I only bring frogs and plastics for flipping. or I will only bring my swim bait rod and spinning rod for plastics. other places I fish that are bigger like small lakes or big ponds. I'll bring more stuff with me but its always changing. Almost always I have jigs, plastics, some kind of top water, and some kind of moving bait like crank, spinner, rat trap. ill carry a few different colors in each bait. and then sometimes ill throw a few random things I feel like trying out. but most of the time I can pick up what is going on in water. I have a few spots where I can get dialed in and the other ones that are tricky to figure out ill bring more stuff. I always carry terminal tackle in a Plano. a scale , pliers, and tp
