  1. I'm assuming this is a bait caster? Sorry don't know quantums very well. Try lubing the spool shaft and a good bearing flushing is the only other ideas I can think of. But honestly Spook is right. NIB reels should cast just fine out of the box. Even filthy dirty reels should cast somewhat decent Distance.
  2. Hummm. I will have to check mine when I get off work. I know mine feels solid. I checked everything yesterday when I deep cleaned all my reels and didn't notice play. I wouldn't see why they wouldn't. It's a BP purchased product. You can always call then and ask first.
  3. A picture would help too. But ya man if you have a BP near by I'd say just grab another. You have had some crappy Abu luck as of late. Hope it doesn't steer you away.
  4. Is it smooth while your reeling it in? Does it feel like its to tight when reeling?
  5. It sounds like your spring that holds the thumb bar in place has come loose or broken. pull the side plate and check it out.
  6. Check out the flea market. LMG just posted 3 rods for sale really cheap. MUST RESIST>>>>>>>>>
  7. I have two. NSCB "mistake" swim jig with red flake tube and a beetle spin. They always produce.
  8. All the stickers and books say Korea

    Stun Gun

An expandable baton would be good. Any women ticked off with a stick is a women to fear.
  11. I got some of them free in their giveway. They are great hooks and very sharp. I usually use Mustad, but I lately I have bought a few of the Trokar pin hooks for tubes since they are covered in plastic. I also bought some of the flippin hooks since they are covered in plastic. 7 dollars for 5 hooks is kinda high, but if you want specific hooks like they stock (flippin and pin) they are top notch. If I was going with a standard EWG hook, Something cheaper would suffice,
  12. Good to hear. I took my 5 year old son to a development lake last weekend. That bugger cleaned house. 6 bass all over 1 pound. His largest was 2.3 making it his personal best. He has called from his moms, twice since sunday begging to go again lol

    Stun Gun

A handgun would be better but to answer your question, there are a lot of stun guns on the market. I carry and love the X26. Its mega expensive, but it works. I have rode the lighting 3 times and there is no getting out of the pain. With standard tasers, the attacker can twist or turn and be free from the taser in a second. With the X26, provided she gets a good shot, the attacker has to ride the lighting for a full 5 seconds before it shuts off. She can also hold down the tigger and effectively have the attacker ride the lighting till the battery runs down. IT points, acts and shoots just like a handgun.
  14. If its not sealed I just use a heavier grease and it helps some
  15. We all know opinions are like buttholes. Its a Ford v's chevy debate at its best.
  16. I don't use mono because of the lack of sensitivity and the stretch. I use braid for the no stretch, no memory and ultra sensitivity. I prefer a fluoro leader. On my 50 braid I go with a 17 pound leader. 30 pound I go with 12 pound. A leader does defeat the purpose of using higher pound braid, but when you need that stealth in clear water its the way to go. You could go straight Fluoro, but braid has no memory and that is the main reason I use it. Edited to add, I fish top water about 75% of the time so my reasons for no using mono is completely different than other techniques.
  17. I run only 1/2 oz. will it be fine
  18. On the list. Thanks!
  19. Humm. How bout a trailer on a swim jig?
  20. I had them check every store in Kansas, oklahoma and Texas for two last month. No one had any. Academy has a few left but that's it
  21. I buy them all the time. I have a good collection built up with their names. Send me a picture and I may have some
  22. I use tubes on swim jigs and have really good luck. Lately I have been cleaning house with swim baits so I thought I could combine the two, save world peace, bring a title to my Jayhawks or just catch a fish or two. Either way I win!!!!
  23. Thanks. I will give them a look
  24. Anyone ever used these as jig trailers. I'm looking at the blue/black flake and bamma bug. If I cut 2" off the head, is there enough thick body left to stick to a jig?
