  1. Since I got mine last month I have been using the SK river bug in green pumpkin as a trailer. This is in my top 5 favorites
  2. Leave and hire a good atty. Best advice you can get. I know that sounds shatty and mean, but I spent 8.5 years with a women who was severly depressed, self medicated and tried to harm herself on more than one occasion. You cant fix a person that wont fix themselves. Your son knows whats up even if she is hiding it.
  3. Worst investment......My exwife Best Investment.....My exwife. I got my best friend who just turned 6 out of the deal!
  4. I'm really curious about the same. This time of year most of the boats in my area are docked as the boaters are for fun and not fishing. Also for what its worth, alot of videos I see on fishing docks, the guys are decked out in cold weather gear so I am guessing it works.
  5. Great fish and good catch. I always loved Eldorado Lake for bass fishing. I used to hit the bridges on the east side and near the turnpike exit and had good luck.
  6. Give it a few seconds of the hitting before you set the hook. It's either a small fish messing with it or a larger one hasn't sucked it in. When it runs, set it
  7. I have got to get me some of these to trail behind a swim jig
  8. Colors and baits will depend on water clarity and structure/cover present. I would link it but I'm on my phone right now, but search bassresource on YouTube. Their videos there and here will fix you up on most everything you will need. I fish mostly dirty waters with lots of timber. For me it's black/blue and green jigs and tubes
  9. I will jump in before LMG and give the Abu the first dibs lol I use and prefer Abu Garcia reels. I have four and love them all. For the 150 dollar range you can get the new Revo S for 129.99 from most retailers. Some have found it cheaper though. For longevity on this model, its only been out a few months so I cant say its going to last for 6 months or 10 years as we havent gotten that far with it yet But I would venture to say its going to last a long time. The previous Revo S's lasted quite awhile. I also have 3 Gen 2 STX's that have been out for some time. Mine get used alot and have held up very well. I also have a Bass Pro, Pro Qualifer too. Its a tank and has lasted a long time. They can be had for around 100 and under new and used. I'll let the other guys throw out the other brands, I honestly can say that I have not used any other brands other than some cheap Shakespeare's in the past.
  10. I have no experience using them myself, but my Step father uses them and loves em. I see them thrown out about everytime someone here askes about a rod in that price range and nothing negative about them.
  11. Seriously man? I an no one to judge and I don't know you from adam, but broom stick and break easily? Have you honestly seen one break? Do they break on occasion, yes they do from time to time. Each rod has its duds or people doing shat to them that will break any rod. Ive seen Shamino rods snap and I have seen a Mojo I think its called snap. Does that mean I should go onto a forum and bash them without ever picking one up? Sounds to be like your a young kid that has watched way to many you tube videos If you have an outlet for 45 dollar Veritas please let me know. Best deal I have found was 75-80 shipped
  12. x3 except I want the 7'3" MH for T-rigs as the backbone is a bit thicker
  13. Very true. I guess I should have put more into the post about the likes. It was me or anybody that was guaranteed jigs, just a change in 10 out of everyone of their FB fans that would get them.
  14. Top water is king. I have caught some 1-2# fish after taking a fish off my line and dangling the lure off the side of the boat. Scares the bejesus outta ya
  15. We got back from vacation late Monday and I was sick. I turned the game off at the half. Woke up the next morning and missed some serious ball.
  16. LMG The guy I use online ships in a PVC pipe and has a retail store. He seeks then for 80 shipped. I'm 4 for 4 on perfect rods with them
  17. No north stars Facebook page. Sorry I forgot to put that.
  18. We need 9 more likes on their facebook page by midnight guys. They will give away 10 sets of free jigs. I want me some jigs
  19. X2 If its truely a weedless rigged worm, then you must be getting the weight or the entire rig wrapped around a limb etc for it to snag. Whats the clarity of the water? I fish jigs about 85% of the time and they are expensive at 4 bucks a pop. I switched over to 50# braid on my pitching rod and hardly loose a jig one now. I end up flatening out the hooks.
  20. Welcome. I'm a rocks throw away from ya in Edmond. We don't have the best for Large Mouth in central OK, but there is a few good spots within a half hours drive.
  21. With your luck on rods man, I'm still glad you like the Abu line. I guess I have been lucky. I use a dealer off eBay that has all the rods in the back except for the display models. They ship in a PVC pipe with padding. I have 4 total from this seller and all were 100% perfect.
  22. Snook, You live within driving distance of everything cool in this world man!
  23. Mean old bag lady or in this case a model of a Veritas rod
  24. I've got the 7'6" MH winch and its a joy for cranks. Tip has plenty of give as to not pull the hooks out. I am going to eventually buy a 7' M Winch to make it a top water rod. You can load the lightest popr and zing it a mile.
  25. I'd give BP customer service a call in the AM and see if there is anything that they can do. Worst they can say is no. I had an elcheapo Shakespeare bait caster that I used for about 16 years go **** up while fighting a Striper that weighed 24 pounds. Same problem as yours shaft came loose. By the time mine broke the fish was so tired he was being dragged a cross the water. It now hangs on the wall.
