  1. For me I want something with a fast action. I use a lot of Poprs and flukes that don't weigh much. I use a medium fast in 7'. I like a little bounce in my rod to load well. I have no trouble pushing 30-40 yards with a small Popr and braid.
  2. Abu recommended a very very light coat on the new S models
  3. I have a Veritas 7' heavy fast and it really feels like a MH. That may be my ticket. 25 doesn't seem to fast? I had used my 7 gear STX and it was way to fast. Wore me out
  4. I have a Veritas 7' heavy fast and it really feels like a MH. That may be my ticket.
  5. Never tried pitching them. That sounds like it would work well in the areas I fish
  6. Ya my Veritas MF is rated for 1/4 to 5/8 so I will have to go heavier
  7. Thank you. I'm here all week!
  8. True but with some rods, what's rated of the rod is to heavy.
  9. It doesn't feel over loaded with a medium ?
  10. Excellent option sir!
  11. Thanks for the reply. How heavy of a bait can you comfortably run on a MH?
  12. I did the same last year.
  13. Are you using your thumb to slow it down?
  14. Same here. I have found some of the stores if you call them, have a brick and mortor store & will take a debit card over the phone. Just a thought.
  15. I'll start off by saying I have the brand already picked out I just have a few questions I need. I haven't used spinner baits very often. I want to get into running them more as a different option to jigs in the cover I fish. I just don't know what the best action length and weight is. I know a 4 or 5 gear feels better to me. So question is what's the best length, action and weight for spinnerbaits if I were going to have a dedicated set up. Thanks
  16. They are no doubt d**n good rods for the money. I decided last year to switch to all one brand and style of rod. They were my #2 rod. I like a thick backbone on my rod and they didn't have it. I went with the verities instead. That said, I may get one some day. They are worth every penny
  17. I have 2 revo STX gen 2's and the new S. the S gets used more and makes it way to the lake more often. I love mine. It's very smooth, a dream to cast, light weight and it looks sweet too. For the price you can't beat it.
  18. Lake Bell Cow over by chandler. It's a bit of a drive, 40 minutes etc, but the entire east end of the lake is crystal clear where as the west end is Typical dirty OK water. Cost is only 3 bucks a day to fish.
  19. For me, the areas where I fish cranks is super clear. I use fluoro as it has less stretch than mono and disappears.
  20. I'm in the OKC area and would be interested as well.
  21. My money's on JR has no drivers license or is suspended. No job and parents wanting to throw the comfort blanket over him. He's probably at that point that one more claim and Mom and Dad are looking for another fly by night insurance carrier.
  22. I don't care much for OU but I do like Jones. Guy is soild as a rock. OSU is still a tuff team to beat. I've got OSU by 6
  23. I don't think so. With Klein a front runner for the Heisman they may have a good shot.
  24. Amen to that. Where is Mark when you need him. O wait, we fired him cause he was mean and some of the guys were panzies!
