  1. Thanks. I'm still on the fence. I have two Curado G's and love em, but that Winch is sexy!
  2. I almost tagged then in it to hopefully get there response
  3. Agreed but with JJ's I can notice a big difference in how long the fish will hold the tube before spitting it out. The videos on Megastrike have got me sold. I should hopefully have some to try these days off
  4. I got to thinking about something last night. When is using fish attractant on your plastics, to much? I love steak and I love sushi. But on the same bite, not so much. I use alot of Strike King Plastics, mainly for the coffee scent. I love it and have great results, but like to put JJ's or other Attractants on them too. When does using it mean to much?
  5. Not that I've read. I have a fishing partner that puts it on everything and has never said anything about it.
  6. Always jigs for me followed up by tubes.
  7. If I had 200 bucks for a reel and wanted an STX, I'd go to TW and get one of the new old stock STX's for 160 bucks. I have no experience with Lews, but the STX is a sweet little hunny
  8. I seriously will never get back the two seconds it took me to read that. You guys realize your making some serious accusations about a forum sponsor and a well respected company that will be unable to come here and defend itself
  9. The manager I talked to at the large store said that a few stores are carrying it, but it has to be requested. The online Dicks does not sell it. I made the request, but he said it has to be several people. Sooooo I will call twice a day for a week lol
  10. I called all 3 Dicks here and none carry it. I went ahead and placed an order for some online. 15 bucks ain't too bad I guess. I need to just make it a constant order item
  11. True but I've spent over 400 dollars in the last two months on gear so I need to take it easy on the wallet.
  12. I hate having to pay 6-7 dollars for shipping for just one thing. Are there any local or major retailers that carry it other than Cabelas?
  13. That's one thing I miss about living in Kansas. We pay 25 here.
  14. That would be cool, but two things that worry me. First is if you latch unto a beast, and it flexes, what will that do to the blank. Also I'd hate to see what the cost of that would be for the first couple of years.
  15. If your not in a hurry put a want add in the flea market looking for a PQ or check it for one for sale. They come up from time to time. I bought my slow rolling 4.7:1 off a member here for 45 shipped. Give it some time and the new Revo S's will start popping up too.
  16. If your gonna pay 130 bucks for a Citica and like Abu stuff, why not get the Revo S? The Orra is a good reel no doubt but it's kinda of a tank. The S is much lighter and a better all around reel. But if you only have those to choose from, I'd go with the Citica. The Orra just wasn't my cup o tea.
  17. Wow man. Listen to yourself. You want them to bend over backwards for you. The reel trade is nothing about value. You can buy a new 5 dollar zebco and trade it in on a 200 dollar reel and get 30-40 bucks. It's the time to get rid of stuff you don't use. I'm willing to bet 3/4 of the people bringing the stuff in to trade don't know how to or have no intention on selling online. You forget the the local managers don't make the orders. Some yard bird in a cozy office makes the orders based on that local stores sales. My local BP stocks more catfish crap based on more cat fishing in Oklahoma. So your implying Bass Pro is using bait and switch on their customers? There's a first
  18. Women's tennis ranks right up there too
  19. Nope. Wish I could. Short staffed at work
  20. I have both and can give a fair assessment of them. The PQ is a dang good reel. Built like a tank and keeps going and going. There is a thread here http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/112219-bps-pro-qualifier-bc-reel-%E2%80%93-5-year-challenge-%E2%80%93-time-to-pay-the-piper/ that breaks it down and one heck of a test on it. The Pro Qualifier has been around the block for some time and has proven its self. Bass Pro changes these up from time to time and from what I'm told, this model has been the same for the longest time. The PQ has a dual breaking system. You can fine tune it to whatever situation you need. For me, I don't use the mag breaks at all so its a mute point. The PQ is a great price. Its going to be on sale on the 22nd of this month too. The down side of the PQ is the weight. Its kinda heavy. You can't go wrong with it. It comes in 4 different gear rations for any situation. The Revo S (Gen 3) is a whole different sexy little hunny. For the price point, its the lightest reel out there. I love mine. Very smooth and sits super low. The Revo S has a 6 pin breaking system like the PQ, but does not have any mag breaks. For me, that's a plus. The Revo S has only been around for about 7 months now so its still proving its self. Only time will tell. The S only comes in one gear ratio, so its kinda technique specific. Hope this helps.
  21. Man that ain't fair to tease us like that The North Stars have replaced every jig in my arsenal as well. My favorite is the Mistake Flip n Swim in 1/2 paired with a tube or Rage Craw. It's my confidence bait. The Salsa is quickly becoming a favorite too.
  22. Don't forget Wilt. He had the only 100 point game and made all kinds of blocks long before they were recorded. Plus he notched over 20,000 notches in his bed post
  23. All those H2O cranks I bought from academy have VMC hooks. That was a big selling point for me.
  24. Beautiful man. I would love to have all my reels painted black, but that white is purdy!
