  1. Gotcha. Got the spool tention knob set perfectly. Im using Berkley Armor 14 pound test. Line basically brand new. I have been to the lake twice and bought it less than a month ago.
  2. I feel like an idot, but the rod is actually 6'6" not 7 inch. I swore it was a 7".
  3. Caught this on a medium weight Bomber crawfish colored crank off the dam. Took a good 15 minutes to land. Pratt County has some huge wiper near the dam. 23-23 1/2". No scale
  4. Thanks for the help. Ya its the ACS. It has 4 positions, 5 dots, 4 dots, 2 dots and free. Just tried running a 10" power worm with 1/4" weight and its still not really getting out there. By the first position are you meaning #2 or free?
  5. Hey guys. FIrst post. Been doing some searching and am stoked with all the info. Still cant find my problem so I wanted to ask. I have a Quantum Iron IR300C that was given to me by my father so its got alot of sentimental value to me. I bought an Ugly stick 7 foot medium heavy rod at bass pro to replace the worn out rod that was on it. I am having all kinds of problems backlashing this combo with all weights of bait. I have to use a heavy spinner or deep crank with the magnetic braking set to #2 to even run this rig without a backlash. Problem is I am getting about 25 foot or less in a cast. I am running 14 pound Berkley Trilene Armor. To help with the question, I am really not a stranger to casting rods. I have 4 others and use them about 99% of the time. All are 14 pound to 12 pound medium 6 foot to 6.5 foot rods. I can run a light weight popper all the way up to a heavy spinner with them without any problems. Well I say none, but I do backlast the reel maybe once in a great while due to a snafu, but over all no issuses. I have been doing some searching and noticed alot of flipping rods look like this set up? Is that what I have? Thanks for any and all help
