  2. Maybe in a few years. I have to get a scratch or two first
  3. You can say that again lol
  4. Thanks guys. FT my wife told me if she catches women watching me in it, she will burn it.
  5. I've been gone around here for awhile. Between Basketball season, work and having my son move in with me, free time has kinda sucked. Last month my trusty ford rolled over 200k. Last week I got on the on ramp after work and hit me a nice slick spot. Heard the loudest ping in my tranny, I've ever heard. No more 3rd gear lol. I had been shopping for about 6 months on trucks and narrowed it down to this sweet hunny!

  8. This is my exact jerkbait set up. I was apprehensive at first with a fast tip, but the soft St. Croix tip and mono it works really well. I like a moderate tip for treble baits, but the tip of this rod has plenty of give and flex, if the fish decides to take a run. I've been messing around with Tatsu and InvisX as well since it has some stretch, but for the money the Super Natural is winner here for me. I hate line memory almost as much as I hate the Longhorns. This set up doubles as my top water set up. I ususally respool every 2-3 months due to the line memory. With the price of Fluoro, the mono has it beat.
  9. I have the 5 power with the same reel as my pitching rod. The 239 was a killer price too. You will love that set up.
  10. Xcite bait chunks and Strike King chunks
  11. I tested 6 of them when they first came out. Its a really good quality bait with nice hardware, but thats about it. I didn't see any number of increased hits or catches from it. I also didn't see any decrease. This was done on some small lakes and ponds around here. I would think for a true test you would need some better areas, but for me and my tests, its a no go. I sold all that I had left.
  12. Agreed. So far this hook seems to be the best replacement for the money to keep it suspending correctly for me.
  13. Thanks. That was a big reason I went with Shimano. I may give one of these a shot.
  14. Anyone know if the side plate will be attached like the E series CU/CH were?
  15. Now that's a review I would buy the line based on!
  16. That must be some hellagood tea!
  17. 17's t-shirt weather. It's -9 here
  18. Yes sir. I'll give those a shot
  19. I'll be ok but thanks
  20. I'll have to go back and watch it, but hes sponsored by Rapala.
  21. Could be, I'm not sure on how it works. I've had a couple people tell me its super quiet in the high speed reels.
  22. I had planned on getting the 5S a few months ago but decided to take a look at the Andriod platform this go around. I've been an apple man for a long time. The 5S had a decent battery, was fast and familiar like most apple products. That said the new IOS7 sucked like no tomorrow. I had it on my 4 and my iPad and hated it everyday. It had so many problems, I went to the Verizon store and had them wiped out to the older version. I went with the HTC one and have never been more impressed. Compared the 5S, the One's camera and video quality was top notch. I do all kinds of pictures videos etc and this phone blows everything I had tested out of the water Apple products have way more control over apps and software plugging the holes for bugs and screw ups. I can't remember an app giving me trouble. They own the market for this. Facetime and device syncing works on the apple program better than the others. Facetime especially. Even a weak 4G or wifi signal can make a good facetime call. I really wish Andriod would address this as nothing else has come close to apples facetime. I keep an iPad 2 around just to do video chat with my son.
  23. RW makes some good points. Just to add, I like the 1/2oz for distance and the extra weight to keep the jig pegged on the bottom. It blows 20-30 plus on average 80% of the year here and the extra weight makes it nice to shake the jig on the bottom. I have been making some 3/4oz jigs lately too for when its really bad. I will drop to a 3/8oz jig if I want a slow fall or its a dead calm day. I also only use 3/8oz with hair jigs. Keeps everything nice and small for the cold weather. As for rods I like long but not too long. 7'4" on my pitching set up and 7'3" on my hairs and swims. I think the 7'3"-7'4" gives you that extra ump when you need to bomb a cast and it helps when you need to set the hook. The extra length moves more line. Its also not so long and cumbersome that it wont fit in the cab of my truck or get tangled up trying to cast from the bank I want a mean backbone, slow tip. I use a Dobyns DX745 as my pitching stick and Dobyns Champion 733/Hairs 735/swims.
  24. I haven't seen them firsthand, but that jig that Rippinlips made has it. Hopefully he will chime in and give you a review.
  25. I could do without all of that over the Micro Gearing. I wish they would bring that to every reel they make.
