  1. Done some shallow swimmers. Hope the bass like them next weekend.
  2. Come on guys, number one is called the vegetarian baby Bass.
  3. OK, did some lipless cranks this weekend. Which one do you guys prefer. 1. Emerald green backgound, then a little bit of silver and then the dark green. 2. White background, then emerald green then dark green. 3. Black background then silver, then emerald green and then dark green. I then did some weathering in between the gill plates and scales (something I learned while building model aircraft) 4. Black background, then silver, then emerald and lastly the dark green.
  4. Does the speedclip go directly onto the lure eye or onto the splitring.
  5. Does one get worm oil from tackle dealers?
  6. OK, I have 2-3 bags of plastics which are very dry. Still useable but dry. What can I use to re lubricate them. I have heard that some guys use spray n cook.
  7. Yes the tube goes through the weight. I drilled the hole to the correct size. Another thing one can use is lollipop handles. They make them from a thin thick plastic tube these days. I think one can make them without the weight and just slide the weight on afterwards but I like the all in one hub.
  8. OK, want to go try punch skirts with plastics this weekend. Problem is that you don't get skirt hubs here by us so I had to diy. Got some skirts, plastic tube(part of some old carp gear I had), small o ring and a bullet weight. If you melt the ends of the plastic tube they curl up making a nice mushroom shaped end. Cut to size and add the o ring at the bottom as extra security. And here are the results. And then I made some more. I will be giving them a try this weekend.
  9. Hi Dink. They are Alpha jigs. http://carpipesca.eu/index.php?manufacturers_id=71
  10. Thanks all. OK will keep them as is, I bought some trailers today and will try them again.
  11. I bought a couple of jigs some time ago and want to start using them. I had a couple of casts with them but they feel way too bushy for me. I am no pro but they do seem to look and feel very bulky. I know that it is also up the angler and each to his own. When I compare these to any other jig at our local shops they all seem to have almost half less strans. I think I need to thin them a bit. What do you guys think.
  12. Not sure about the monkey. I am a tackle tart, for sure.
  13. Took the gear out last weekend. Got 31 bass in 1 hour. That was just one hell of an outing,......
  14. Went out and bought a bass tackle bag today with a couple of extra 3700's. Now I am ready for bassing.
  15. Hahahah, JBass, kom daai Afrikaans nou deur
