  1. I have bad luck with usps they broke 2 rods and cant make a correct shipping lable even with the address in front of them.
  2. not mono but mccoy mean green is great line izorline platinum and xxx are also good
  3. live target makes a great bluegill crankbait. I got a few during a black Friday sale for 4.00 each. always liked koppers stuff but not the full retail price.
  4. powell703ef 8lbs line.shimano clarus 6'8" medium exfast with 10lbs braid 6lbs fluro leader
  5. im in the same boat I recently bought a 7'6" heavy bc rod for 30.00 .had to give it a try for only 30.00.i did mess around with it at a local pond it felt good and the sensitivity was better than I thought it would be
  6. I had 3 of the micro guide rods at one point.i really had no complaints about the blank but the micro guide inserts kept falling out so I got rid of them.if the standard guides hold up better than it will be a great rod
  7. flipping and pitching rod crankbait rod spinnerbait rod dropshot rod senko rod I can get away with these 5 rods for the majority of fishing situations. they double duty when needed. my flipping rod works well as a frog rod senko rod works for shakey heads.dropshot rod is great for wacky and spilt shot rigs.crankbait rod can be used for topwater.spinnerbait rod can fish large square bills and swim jigs in lighter vegetation. I normally take 8 rods when I go fishing but feel these 5 rods will handle everything but the largest swimbaits and deep diving cranks.
  8. miller knot for fluro palomar mono and double palomar for braid..
  9. if it happens to last season I guess it was worth the 30.00.
  10. I recently purchased a 7' heavy veritas ,7'2" medium clarus and a 7'6" heavy carrot stix wild all brand new for 100.00. are the new carrot stix still junk or have they worked out the issues.anyone have a carrot stix that has been a good rod.I'm not overly worried because of how cheap I got the rod for but curious if any one still likes or uses carrot stix rods.
  11. 7'9" heavy veritas works well for smaller swimbaits a-rigs heavy jigs in general and punching.its a versatile rod.
  12. 10 lbs braid cast extremely well because of its small diameter while still giving the user line strength. its great for drop shot and other finesse fishing.
  13. are you bending your hooks upward.this little modification will help with hookups
  14. anyone use a 7'3" mh veritas for football jigs.how well does the rod handle 3/4 and 1 oz weights.
  15. the 775 has more meat than the 764 if your fishing weights greater than 1oz or a lot of heavy grass I would go with the 775.the 764 is a great rod for football jigs and makes a great flippin pitchin rod for baits up to 1 oz.I have a 764 and its a sweet rod for fishing wood it also works well for frogs
