  1. First off, I'm guessing you meant sun down and sun rise. Of the two I prefer sunrise around 5 am to be exact. You will benefit from the darkness and more than likely have the lake or pond all to yourself{especially during the week}
  2. Already spawning here on the east side, New moon tomorrow, full moon on the 29th.
  3. I spread my arms and hiss right back at em. Where I fish, the nests are generally not accessible to humans, it's after the eggs hatch, that's when the try to get aggressive. Now wild turkeys are a whole nother story!!
  4. I'll take a smallie over a catfish, just like I'll take a Bell's over a dilly dilly anytime!!
  5. Did a quick search on ebay. Plenty of em, you just have to weed through the results. St Croix, shimano loomis just to name a few.
  6. Great for t rigged tubes.
  7. Three baits, Senko, mushroom head, and a spinnerbait.
  8. That's the nature of the beast. Once it hits the water the fade is on, usually it fades uniformly and will eventually stop all together. Never had a braid fade to white I must admit.
  9. If you are fishing from shore, then I'm going to use a 6 or 7 inch weightless senko, plastic swimbait rigged weedless. willow leaf spinnerbait, buzzbait and a whopper plopper. All of those will be effective in and above the grass, fishing from the shore.
  10. Stand 10 to 15 yards away from where you saw the fish. Cast a weightless senko into the area, set the hook.
  11. I use 15lb power pro slick and suffix 832 hi vis yellow. Flouro leaders ranging from 6 to 15lb depending on technique, seaguar red label.
  12. This time of year, it's been a timing thing for me. I've been catching fish during the highest temperature of the day. Anywhere from 53degrees down to 35 degrees. It's always the highest temperature of the day. Like others have stated, I too am using a ned rig, dragging it on the bottom really really slow!! Hope this helps.
  13. This time of year, here in Michigan ned rig dragged slowly along the bottom. The rest of the year a spinnerbait, swim jig or swimbait. From the shore crankbaits are to much of a hassle for me.
  14. I use Megastrike and Pro cure. Both are effective.
  15. Fish the warmest part of the day.
  16. Same date or week for the Pursuit Channel?
  17. Chatterbait project Z weedless. I personally do not own one, but they are out there and there must be a market for them.
  18. With one tackle store in the area that caters to walleye and pan fishermen. It's been 100% online so far for this year. That may change slightly once Gander Outdoors reopens later this year.
  19. A ned riig works from the bank right after ice out.
  20. I found open water here in Genesee county. Caught five Wednesday and three on Saturday. All from shore or fishing pier. Getting ready to try one more time today. Snow coming tomorrow and Wednesday.
  21. My homemade version of a rod runner.
  22. Original has no scent to speak of, crawfish has a mild crawfish scent. Neither of those come close to the smell of powerbait. I use both on all of my soft plastics, I totally believe that the fish hold on longer with Megastrike on the bait. I re apply after ten or so casts. It doesn't matter what you use, if fish aren't there to bite, your not going to catch any.
  23. Owner twist locs for Senko type baits, offset round bends for worms.
  24. I would put the Lews with the Avidx.
