  1. Fiskars work just fine.
  2. #20, #358, #912, and of course #297.
  3. Senko
  4. Weightless senkos all day long!!
  5. Totally up to you. Me personally, I only use spinning gear. So it's all braid for me with flouro or co poly leaders.
  6. Will break just as easily, backwards or otherwise. This sums up my vanish experience.
  7. I've dropped five or six of them so far. I call them the LTB or MTB mafia. Once they start that unboxing stuff, I hit the unsubscribe button.
  8. Another vote for Berkley Shocks. Check your local Walmart, mine has them on clearance for $30
  9. I quit watching the LTB mafia a while ago.
  10. These are the same setups I use fishing from the bank. The only difference is in line choice, and that is very minor. 15# yellow power pro on the ml and med. 20# on the MH. Red label seaguar for leaders.
  11. In my neck of the woods, 14" is the smallest you can keep. I personally only practice catch and release. The only time I get upset is when the regulations are being broken . To each his own when it comes to catch and release.
  12. They're still just back packs
  13. Yep, bought one way back in September of 15. Since the majority of comments are about color,There is no need for an in depth review. I will say, this rods performance far exceeds it's offending color.
  14. The $84.99 is the internet spring classic price, we will have to see what happens on Monday.
  15. This is how I roll on the bank. Three rods, MH, Med, Med Lt, backpack. Fan cast each area. Top, middle and bottom Lures- spinnerbaits, swim jigs, bladed jigs, Senkos, lipless cranks Time of day. I prefer early morning if possible(no later than 5:30am start time)
  16. That is my point. Whenever companies merge, they are in effect eliminating competition. Less competition, less innovation, higher profits. None of that benefits the consumer, IMO.
  17. Competition is a consumers best friend.
  18. It appears as if the Catalog and internet only Spring Classic will start on Friday the 19th. I received my flyer in the mail today, only states that it will end on March 9th. No starting date posted. Pro Qualifiers are part of this sale.
  19. Okuma rtx 30s, I have this paired with a Diawa 7'2" Med/Lt Diawa Lexa rod. That's how I Senko fish.
  20. You tube is a great starting place. I would recommend using a spinning set up. Although corn is great in catching carp, I would imagine that you are going to see a lot of different carp specific baits being used. This will probably be an eye opening experience for you. Enjoy it and have fun!!
  21. It is definitely normal. I might add, from experience, You need to spool braid with tension, it needs to be tight on the spool. I use canvas gloves with the braid intertwined between a couple of fingers. You can also use a damp rag of some sort. Pinching it between your fingers isn't going to be tight enough,.wind knots are in your future if you don't get the line packed tight enough.
  22. I have the dressed version, a great alternative bladed jig.
  23. Up until a little over an hour ago, this thread was dead. Now to get back on topic, If the weather people are correct, I hope to find some soft water this weekend and toss a line or two just for the heck of it. Also because it's now perfectly legal in the great state of Michigan.
  24. Unfortunately BPS is just a destination to me, and the Fishing Classic is just an event at a destination. Really not much of anything on sale, considering how over priced they are to begin with.If you think it's bad now. What's it gonna be like if Johnny gets a hold of Cabelas. I've never been a fan of competing companies buying each other out. The consumer always loses in the end.
  25. Most of the guys on here won't admit that. Out of eighty four instructional videos on this website, two are vaguely about bank fishing. Trust me there's a lot more two it than that. Perhaps a thread of some bank fishing tips and tricks might be appropriate.
