  1. After watching several how two videos on the FG knot I made the switch from the alberto for this year. Ott DeFoe has a simple and easy way of tying one. No teeth required.
  2. FS-1 on tournament weekend, Saturday and Sunday Mornings.
  3. I actually went from fishing 3-4 times a week to once a week last year. Not because of a lack of interest, more of not wanting to deal with the influx of new anglers created from covid. I experienced quite a few negative outings during that time period and did not want to go thru that again. However this is a new year and with a new desire to get back to what I really love to do. So I have one new rod and another rod and reel on order for the new year, I'm definately looking forward to prowling the banks once again.
  4. My backpack comes in at 25.5 lbs as it patiently waits for warmer weather.
  5. If it was just me, spinnerbait into the wind. Fishing with wife and kids in the wind, nah, I'd rather fly a kite. That's just me.
  6. Hit the northwest corner if possible, during the warmest part of the day. Your lure selection should payoff.
  7. Witnessed soft water in Oakland County yesterday. Bought my license this morning, should be fishing within two weeks if all goes as planned. Fingers crossed!!
  8. I think you made the right choice, I love my 100. I purchased mine from the same folks last year.
  9. I've caught plenty of fish with a spinnerbait using spinning gear.
  10. That's my go to swim jig trailer.
  11. I just wonder how long each telecast is going to be, not sure they would broadcast the full day.
  12. Walleye and redfish.
  13. Same here, spring was great, then reality it!! Can't wait for 2021!!
  14. Just one question before I get ready, where are we going?
  15. R I skinny dipper.
  16. Like many others on this site, the glowing reviews and recommendations had me curious about the Aird-X. I needed a rod to go with my new tat-100 purchase. The Aird-X felt like a solid rod, however the XT could be had for less than $80 with a five year warranty it was a no brainer for me.
  17. Smaller than a standard senko, it is my down size bait. Favorite color combo , green pumpkin/watermelon. Lasts as long or longer than a senko .
  18. I have been using the J-8 for a couple of years now with great success. It is a soft braid which at times will fluff up and birds nest on long casts. I purchased the J-8 grand this year, seems to be a little more supple which is what I was hoping for. I use the alberto knot for connecting leader line.
  19. Dirty Jigs and Siebert swim jigs. RI Skinny dippers for the majority of my trailers.
  20. 100 is the most comfortable for me.
  21. That stuff drives me crazy!! I try to avoid the areas of accumulation as much as possible. I now remove it from my line and rod, every time I see it.
  22. Big bite baits has been around for years.
  23. Senkos are great fish catchers, however they will not catch em all. Go get a couple of spinnerbaits to add to your arsenal. Next time you talk to other anglers who are catching em, ask them what time of the day are catching em. Keep fishing, the more you fish the more your going to catch.
