  2. Could be an academy pistol minnow which is a highly effective knock off of the lucky craft gunfish
  3. You could also replace the tip top which is a pretty easy job. Sounds like the rod would work great for your intended use as well
  4. Could be the tiny gear teeth
  5. I’d say what they replace is what was wrong with it. How’s it feel now?
  6. Google my friend
  7. Mudhole should have guide layouts but I suggest you research the new guide concept and the Fuji kr concept down the road.
  8. I think it would be ring handles rods, Tennessee grip rods and reel seat rods right ?
  9. I’m confused. What is the revising of history? Rods with slip rings being called Tennessee grips when they should be called?
  10. I’d fish it and see what happens. You got the rod for free. I’d be more worried someone damaging the blank bending the guides back in place. If it breaks that’s the breaks.
  11. Why did it take 6 weeks to bend 4 guides back in place? the wraps keep the guide feet in place and the epoxy protects the wraps.
  12. Dang hard to pick just one. Weightless Zoom fluke though.
  13. The St. Croix Mlf is one of my favorite rods. I use it for all the things you listed except jigs. Well jigs over 1/4oz and that have a heavier wire hook.
  14. I have been wanting to built a rod with a carbon fiber handle. They seem very nice. Currently in the research process as there are a few options such as buying a premade one or making the cores and skinning the grip your self. Either way it seems like carbon will be the way of the future as cork becomes more expensive.
  15. 13 Fishing is pure junk that's over-hyped by a bunch of clueless Youtubers.
  16. Was it the citica or the lews?
  17. I have an Imx 782,783 and 844. It's nice to buy 3 rods and not need anything else.
  18. Got it thanks for the help. Dang missed a good one!
  19. What is this site with the 5.99 lucky crafts?
  20. Maybe I have a stuck inductor? but I have the brakes on 4 on the sv and 9 on the ct and the ct throws the baits farther and easier. Were talking same baits same rod...so I have no idea....the sv is buttery smooth but when I'm throwing spinnerbaits and buzz baits for distance it's no comparison.
  21. Nice reviews...I'm slowly converting over to daiwa. I've had expensive reels and after using some of their offerings around the $100 mark, I just don't see the need anymore. I like my tatula ct better than the sv103 even!
  22. I have faced the same issue before and currently. It's tough and can be very discouraging. I think in these conditions you have to put the lure right on top of them, they are not going to chase the lure down. I have caught them on finesse lures and loud flashy lures, the constant is they bit within a few feet of where the lure landed. For me this has reinforced what I said above that they are not really chasing the lures I generally find them tight to the bank (during summer muddy waters) and at humps/drop offs
  23. Well gentleman thank you for all the advice and anecdotes. I was offered the position and have accepted it!
