  1. The alien head jigs from northstar skip really well for me and as usual I almost only use 3/8 oz.
  2. I use the gamakatsu #2 finesse hook, but I tie a double uni and leave the tag long if your knot is tied properly and is tight you just aim the hook and it holds it out, even with the bait on
  3. Of course of it has a natural look, action and color
  4. They work great just like all the other stout flippin hooks and te bait keeper on these is just the right size IMO
  5. !!!! I will be fishing this tourney too!!!! So I obviously can't help you XD.... jk, if your gonna be at the docks go to the far right and throw a frog in the thick grass I have caught several 4+ # lmb on our way to the lily pads around the corner and after that go all the way out and throw out to about 20 ft of water straight off the end of the dock, slow roll a spinner, swim jig, or swimbait. Good luck to you man maybe I'll see you there!
  6. I have 2 3700's stuffed to the gills and at least 150-200 in a cardboard box in my garage most of them are still in te packaging , if someone has a good Sale on jigs I will buy out there stock I color I use
  7. Dark water dark lure clear water natural color : )
  8. My friend just got some Monday and he said he tried t rig, got nothin ten tried wacky and said he just twitched and paused and had like 2 bites. Other than that I dunno

  10. Haha yeah I'll have to email them to myself as you cannot post pics from an iPhone : ( I'll post them after work today
  11. Thanks guys!! Can't wait to go back I have never had a day like this in the summer !!! And I will definitely try shakeyhead f the bite slows or stops thanks for all the tips guys Tight lines
  12. I went to a local lake after work today with a friend and we started our normal routine headed to our normal shore line with piles of thick cover and started punching away we had 2 fish in about 2 hours : (. So as we were trolling back to the dock to call it a day I passed over a drop I had never seen went from 18 to 25 feet. I stopped the boat and grabbed my new found obsession the drop shot, first cast to this drop off hooked into a 3# LM And from there we caught 37 fish in an hour and a half. Marked the spot and headed in. Never had success like this in the summer usually it is a miserable grind to get 10 tops, we were fishing with the bps hand poured 3.5 " minnows wacky rigged with a 16-20 inch tag end and a 1/4 oz weight. Have you guys used any other minnow type baits and had succes and how did you rig them.
  13. I have tried several different ones and IMHO nothing has the same action as the Yamamoto since I always wacky rig them I bought the tool and the o-rings, I can get as many as 6-10 fish per senko before they start to tear. Best 7$ I ever spent.
  14. So I have been slowly getting into finesse fishing and I really have never been very big on it so I don't much attention to what everyone is usin or the techniques. What techniques and lures have you guys been having success with, also do you prefer straight flouro, braid to flouro leader, or even another option.
  15. My friend has a few and he swears by them but for me personally they don't feel balanced but for 20$ it would be a nice spare I'm sure
