  1. Wow ! that sure was a pretty short membership. :-?
  2. Well, Pintos had the annoying habit of catching fire when rear ended .... :-X
  3. No problem, The BaitMonkey has been a BPS customer for such a long period of time that he knows all the tricks. If you want Megabass lures you can buy them with Sayaka, Papaiyamangos or Lures of Japan e-bay stores you can find them cheaper and have them in your home in about a week. another site also has Megabass lures, the good thing is that they show you what they have IN STOCK and how many, just like ***.
  4. Any color is fine ----> as long as it is black But, hey, who can resist all those pretty colors the manufactures have on their baits ? not me, I 'm a sucker for brightly colored baits.
  5. Nope, no dope, it was the disco music spirit what inspired the design of the Pacer and Gremlin.
  6. Not sold out, they are not in stock yet. BPS does that, they load something to the page without having it.
  7. I fish with both, I like them both indistinctiveley, I prefer palstic baits when the water is muddy or murky because even though there are rattling balsa baits I feel the sound produced by plastic baits is superior. Balsa baits are unique, you won 't find "identical" wood baits, each bait is an individual and another even made from the same piece of wood than the other won 't move the same way, sometimes you get that "magic" balsa bait, the one that no matter where or how bad you fish it it will always catch fish, problem is that those "magic" wood baits are like winning the lottery, the odds are against you; with plastic baits this does not happen so infrequently, a good plastic bait will be "identical" to another and all you need is to purchase another one and you 'll get the same results.
  8. I don 't have a favorite combo ....... maybe I should say that I have 8 favorite rods and 16 favorite baitcasting reels for them.
  9. Got 100 "spare" Risto Raps I got for $1.99 a piece from a clearance bin at BPS StLouis, then when I went to BPS Dallas I found another clearance bin with more Ristos and other Rapala baits also for $1.99 so I punished myself with another 100 dollars.
  10. Normark Group owns: Rapala, Storm, Blue Fox, VMC & Terminator.
  11. SPINNING Twinpower = Sustain Twinpower S = no comparable model Twinpower Mg = no comparable model Twinpower MgS = no comparable model Biomaster = Stradic Biomaster S = no comparable model Biomaster Mg = Stradic Mg Biomaster MgS = no comparable model Be careful when you order a Japanese spinning model or you will get a nasty surprise when you open the box, check the model denomination, all those letters behind the reel size mean this: S = shallow spool, meaning a shallow spool designed for fishing with 3-5 pound test JAPANESE MONOFILAMENT LINE or with PolyEthilene line = braided. PG/HG = heavy duty model DH = double handle BAITCASTING Antares DC = Calais DC Antares DC7 = don 't know if there is a Calais DC7 Antares = Calais 200 Metanium XT = Chronarch 100 B Scorpion Mg = Chronarch Mg Scorpion Quickfire = Castaic Scorpion 1000/1001 = old Curado 100 Scorpion Mg & Scorpion 1000/1001 incorporate EXTERNAL centrifugal adjustment.
  12. 8 feet and still falling ! ;D
  13. Cabin fever guyz ? ;D
  14. The only thing in common both baits have is the Real California name, they are completely different animals; the original is like a big jointed minnow with the same kind of movement, the Premium is a "S" pattern swimming bait. Both baits are only available in floating version, T-rig mentioned a suspending model, such models in the domestic market are not available ( only available in the JDM ), also, the color palette is different in the Premium, the colors available for the japanese version ( Amago ) are not found in the domestic version and viceversa. Which one ? well I 've got both and the Original is more to my liking, I feel more "in touch" with the bait than with the Premium ( I can 't feel the swimming action of the Premium well ) the Original feels like a crankbait.
  15. We old farts have been finessin ' them basses for quite a while. "Shakey head", "drop shot", "flippin", "pitchin" .... fancy new names for rigging and casting techniques I learned over 3 decades ago. :
  16. Go to that place 's forum, click in the "Enthusiast" section, there 's you 'll find lots of opinions from people that actually own the reel. Here ? I know that Redlinrobert has 3 reels ....... I don 't remember anybody else who actually have it besides from him.
  17. BIG, BIG MOMMA
  18. Bring the spray cans northern boys, if you can 't go to Florida make Florida come to you.
  19. I think I have an idea ....... America should purchase several thousands of those, then ship them to Iraq, dump them all over the streets and let the militia grab them, what a surprise they are going to get the next time they try to throw something to an Abrams tank and the thing blasting their arses away, think of it as humanitarian aid.
  20. Sol lubing, applies to Fuego too.
  21. Well, I 'm not really an avid newspaper reader, all the times it 's bad news, Anna Nicole dying, the stock market is up and I don 't have money to invest in it, stuff like that but eyeballing the newspaper today an article caught my eye. Ok, the North Koreans detonated their first nuclear device not long ago, now it turns out that by doing so now they won the lottery ! Several governments ( US, Russia, China, South Corea and Japan ) are going to give them oil ( 100,000 tons ), food and truckload of cash ( 400 million ) in exchange for the dismanteling of any nuclear devices they have built plus dismanteling it 's nuclear facilities and allowing inspectors to inspect their nuclear facilities, besides that, the US is going to make a revision of it 's terrorist friendly country list and erase North Korea from it. I don't understand !!!
  22. The fish are already in prespawn mood, went this Sunday and we were doing fine until the danged wind kicked us out of the lake at about 2 PM. >
