  1. Muddy don 't need a trigger handle, Muddy needs a new pair of thumbs. ;D
  2. Fish with it T-rig, the lure is old but not collector 's item, that pattern and size is still in production and it 's value is the same as brand new.
  3. 1.- Moon phases are a piece of cake to understand, go whenever you can regardless of the moonphase and cast your baits in the water. 2.- Full moon is a great help for night fishing, first, like LBH said, you can tie your knots without the help of a flashlight, second, as I say, instead of trying to imagine where your bait is going to land you can see where you are casting. 3.- Moonphases are the perfect scapegoat, if you went and caught nuthin ....... weeeellllllll, you can put the blame on the moonphase, just to make you feel better.
  4. You forgot to add a bottle of soft bait glue to that list.
  5. No sir you worded it right, young angler needs to spend a couple of days in jail and a fine for tresspasing to straight him up.
  6. I don 't think your problem is the rod handle but the rod length, I don 't fish rivers but I do fish from the bank when I 'm on foot patrol, mezquite trees and huizache brush ceratinly do agree that my 6 or 6'6" rods are 6' to a foot too long, also they agree that my 5'6" rods are purrrfect and it don 't matter if it 's pistol grip or trigger.
  7. Any particular reason why you want a Mossyback ? for 25 bones more I would go without thinking it much straight for an MBR783C in IMX. Shipping is going to cost you the same.
  8. 5 bags of senkos & 5 bags of sweet beavers.
  9. I think it is more about how it is fished most often. slowly and on the bottom. I personally go through phases. yrs ago it was hard jerkbaits, then worms, then jigs, now senkos. What's in the mix for next year??? Creatures.
  10. Hell, I don 't know, maybe Flechero is jinxed or some sort of cosmical misalignmet or the the person shipping his reels is just having the time of his life making Flechero angry, who knows.
  11. I would fish the gill in known spawning areas. and in the deeper water adjacent to those areas. U funny Avid, "deeper water adjacent to spawing areas" ..... in my neck of the woods that 's 50+ ft deep. However Avid has a point, if you know where the river/stream/creek channel is that 's where I would make my bait swim, fish patrol and use the area like a highway.
  12. I have no idea where or from whom you are purchasing those reels, one with flaws, ok, two with flaws .... unlikely, 3 !, crap, possible but the chances are astronomical.
  13. How long is too long keeping a bass out of water? Imagine yourself getting choked for 3-5 min. If you can 't remove the hook immediately don 't keep the fish out of the water too long, put it back on the water, hold for a few seconds and continue the unhooking process for a few more seconds and back to the water again.
  14. You guyz saying 4-5 fish per bait really need a lesson, come down here where I fish, if you can get 2 fish per bait you are in heaven, 50% of the time I hang up on the first or second cast and ..... and there it goes, another hook, sinker & bait even before a fish has a chance to bite it. : But if you ain 't feechin where you can loose baits you ain 't feechin where they are. Now you know why 5 hook packs are definately out of my list of purchases. ;D
  15. YEA TELL THAT TO THE BASS WHERE I FISH!!! I tired for the whole month Of May and not one fish on a jig :-/ Muddy, the year has 12 months ........... sorry I meant, for you guys up north it has 2 months , my mistake twice.
  16. Got a friend that fishes exclusively with soft plastic baits regardless of the conditions, not only he catches a lot of fish but also good size fish, this guy 's secret is not only what he selects but how he fishes it, he knows more rigging methods and more soft plastic bait fishing techniques than anybody I 've seen. His sinker/hook box contains a huge collection of sinker types, sizes, swivels, small blades, hooks & things you never imagined that may be used for rigging soft plastics and he 's lethal with them. He has never outfished me with my monster collection of stuff, he has came very close in quality & quantity but if I were to fish "mano a mano" only with soft plastics against him he would whup my rear end easily.
  17. As for lubing the reel, grease lasts a los more than reel oil, the reel may not need grease but oil it 's a different story, I always oil the spool supporting bearings even right out of the box. Tuning ....... it really depends on how much and with what you want to tune, there are degrees of tuning, simple tuning may begin with different lubrication, from there you can continue to changing the bearings, changing the drag pads, changing the handle and so on, but every step increases the cost of the reel, money you could have spent in purchasing another reel or the next two or three steps above what you are tunning. Let me give you an example, the Ch 50/51Mg retails for 250 then let 's say you want the reel to look kool by adding a carbon fiber handle with bearing supported reel knobs ( you are not going to "shave" weight, on the contrary, by doing this swap in handles you are going to add weight ), that adds another 100 bones = 350 ....... Crap, that 's a lot of money for a simple Ch 50/51 Mg ! for less you can get the new Metanium Mg and choose from the regular 6.2 or the 7.0 GR and the reel already comes with bearing supported knobs. Between the Citica, Curado & Chronarch ...... that my friend depends greatly on how much you want or are willing to spend, the three are great reels. From the 3 I would go for the Curado 100 D.
  18. Yup, available only ultra clear & green. I liked smoke ( have problems watching ultra clear line, reason why I also don 't like fluoro ).
  19. Use and abuse are not the same, if you can keep 5 fish and you spear them then you are through with your limit, spear 6 or a 100 ..... you are abusing and it 's no longer "sport".
  20. Fertilizer ? :-/
  21. Yes and no. Ryobi was purchased by a chain store company in Japan so technically speaking they are not out of business, but you can only purchase Ryobi reels from those stores, technically speaking they are out of the business. Got a couple of Ryobis myself, a spinning Ryobi B2 and a teeny tiny baitcasting Ryobi V-Mag 3.
  22. Factory tuned is the cheapest way to get a tuned reel, for less money you get all the goodies. The price difference between the regular TDX and the TDX super tuned is only 10 dollars and it 's a much better reel in performance and looks. For example in both reels you are mentioning, without thinking it much I would go for the super tuned Advantage, it has a 30 dollars discount at that price, the MSRP of that reel is 130 dollars.
  23. Has closed it 's doors ! Man, that 's so saaaaaaad , one of the best places to purchase japanese baits was from them and now they are gone ! :'( RATZ !!!
  24. Weeeeelllllllll, the regular Scorpion and the Mg have a dial ya know.
  25. There isn 't much to it, get at least one from the different topwater TYPES: 1 Walker ( Sppok, Sammy, Slim Dog, etc ) 1 Prop Bait ( Torpedo, Skitter Prop, etc ) 1 Wobbler ( Jitterbug, Locust, etc ) 1 Popper ( Chug Bug, Hula Popper, Skitter Pop, etc ) 1 Buzzbait 1 Floating frog With at least one of each you have covered everything, if it 's not one then it 's the other.
