  1. It 's called pop corn salt, the difference with table salt is that is uniodized and ground until it has the consistency of dust. If you use kitchen salt when pouring the salt does not suspend in the plastic, during the cooling process it settles to the bottom of the pour.
  2. Keep them in their original package, you don 't wan 't that oil oiling to anything and everything in your t-box, some colors like red shad stain everything it touches ( the oil oozing from that pack of red shad worms is going to do the same thing ).
  3. You need a fancy imported sportscar Avid, that will help a lot. In the city where I live in there used to live ( he passed away a couple of years ago ) a very wealthy man named Antonio Enriquez, he had lots of properties and his monthly income was obscene, one day at the club he was watching all the young guys building muscles at the gym, he enters the gym and as cool as cucumber he says to the guys: " Guys, instead of working out to build muscles you should be working hard building income, I bet y 'all that with my wallet I catch more hotties than you in an hour than you with all them muscles in a month "
  4. Actually in another forum we missed Gman for about 2 weeks ..... he took a vacation, of course, just to come back two weeks later and begin bragging on how much fun he had on his vacation.
  5. Two mooks in a boat part "X" Avid: "Muddy I think you forgot something when we 's launched the boat" :-/ Muddy: "What ?" :-?
  6. 1 or 2 weights activated at the most, the cast control knob very loose, you can cast easily only problem is that if you do something stoopid ( like barely hanging your bait on your partner 's line when you are about to casy : ) all hell breaks loose. And it ain 't pretty ! >
  7. Kinami is the exact same bait with different name, GYBC manufactured by Gary Yamamoto, Kinami manufactured by Gary 's son Derek in pappy 's plant; they are not cheaper, the cost per unit is the same, the only difference is that Kinamis come less to a pack than GYCB.
  8. There is no such thing as "standard way", it depends on: 1.- How you like them 2.- How good are you in keeping the beast under control 3.- How the reel is performing under a particular scenario I like them: the least, the best I 'm good at keeping the beast under control The reel performs the way I like under most circumstances.
  9. Never have spinkled my cranks or spinnerbaits with scent and they catch fish, most of my soft plastic baits are unscented, heck, most of them don 't even have salt in them either and they catch fish ...... if you think that spraying scent is going to help you into catching more fish I 'll be the first one to tell you to spray as much as you can on your baits.
  10. XT is a very good woody cover and/or highly abrassive environment line, it shure does take the beating. Not everything is milk & cookies with XT, it resists abrassion at a cost, the line coils because it 's stiff, at 12 lbs the line is manageable, at 15 lbs you are fishing with a rope and at 17 you fish with wire; however the improvement in abrassion resistance vs XL is very noticeable, also, it stretches less than XL giving you better hooksets. XL is a great line where you don 't have to worry much about abrassion much better suited for places clean of harsh obstructions ( like timber ) with muddy, sandy or silty bottoms. For woody places and/or rocky bottoms I prefer XT or Big Game.
  11. That reel should have a warning sign on the box saying: The use of these product is highly addictive, once you have tried one you won 't want anything else.

  13. Yummi ! Those Ize Lights sure are pretty, love that combination of candy red & gold; those Type R+ are getting really hard to find NIB.
  14. World 's greatest recreational drug and it 's completely legal.
  15. Weeeeeellll, I ain 't THAT old, but I do sometimes behave like a real cranky old fart, that sounds pretty much like the way I answer when somebody asks me with what color I 'm ketchin them: Q .-"What color are you using ?" A.-Black Q.-"I 've been using watermelon red flake " A.- Watermelon red flake is an excellent choice Q.- " :-? ...... and why are you using black ? A.- Black is an excellent choice, so is watermelon red flake, green pumpkin, white, cotton candy, red shad, tequila sunrise ........ you name it. Q.- " and why are you carrying a rainbow of colors in your baits ? :-/ " A.- because I like all them purty colors, ya know, monkey business. :
  16. Man, mooks must need a really big boat just to carry all them marker bouys. ;D
  17. Manufacturer is Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits. The exact final name GYCB gave to the bait is something I don 't know, I know that it 's a soft plastic craw imitator first launched by GYCB for the japanese market, GYCB was going to launch it in the domestic market by the end of last year but for US patent problems they decided to leave it in stand by status.
  18. Hooks like that have been in the market for a very long time, I still have some left ( they must be 10 years old or more ), I stopped using them for a reason, they have the maddening habit of hooking the fish through the eye socket. >
  19. The advantages of one over the other are reduced to: 1.- Spinning reels twist the line no matter how great the anti twist system is, some do it more than others; but baitcasters backlash if you do something stoopid so that pretty much levels it. 2.- Spinning reels are picky on the line diameter and line material, it 's the nature of the beast and the only thing you can do about it is to choose limper lines for spinning reels or ***** happens .... there you are with your spinning reel spooled with 25 pound test P-line CXX, you open the bail and the line jumps from the spool like a spring, who 's fault is it ?. Baitcasters are not that picky with line diameter and line material, you can litrally spool any type and the baitcaster is not going to bother. In that aspect baitcasters win. 3.- To level things a little bit, spinning reels can cast almost any weight and are fantastic to cast the light stuff, not all baitcasters can do that. In that aspect spinning reels win. 4.- You can get a good spinning reel with little money, a good baitcaster for little money is less likely. Most of us are everyday Joes and most of us do not compete in casting distance competitions, baitcasters do out cast spinning reels in the casting distance competitions.
  20. It 's better to accept you are a tackle junkie than to deny it, plain and simple. Only thing that confuses me is is that I can no longer tell what brings me more pleasure, fishing with it or purchasing, looking at it, this one goes here, that one goes there, look at all them purty colors ....... :
  21. Well, apparently Caladryl wasn 't strong enough, add Noxema, that will take away the itch.
  22. Untold stories History of the invasion Normandy and beyond The National WWII Museum
  23. Money talks, BS walks.
  24. Turtle1 suffers from a severe case of sensitive skin ...... try Caladryl lotion.
  25. "Cheap" reels come with free spare graphite spool ( < $50 ) slightly more costly reels ( $60+ ) come with free spare aluminum spool.
