    X-rap

Use the search engine ( where the little magnifying glass icon is ) type X-rap and any thread that has been written about it will appear.
  2. The only reason to add a weight to a senko is to make them sink faster, they are pretty heavy and don 't need the help of any weight to fly far.
  3. Yes you will, broken or malfunctioning lures are not thrown away to the trash imediately, they are studied looking for flaws.
  4. Something tells me that Ceph has a particular preference for manly power tools, whaddya think guys ?
  5. One of these days I 'm going to open my very own rod company for the small hand guy Avid.
  6. Watch out, you 're dangerously closed in getting stuck into the: if I don 't have X or Y bait I 'm not going to catch fish. Adaptation, imagination, creativity to different baits, styles, rigging methods and techniques is the difference between catching fish and coming home empty handed.
  7. Besides all the already mentioned ones: Storm Thundercrank, StrikePro DD Shad, StrikePro Oscar ( an oversized version of the Megabass Griffon ), Rapala Fat Rap.
  8. Both are equally good being the Avid more powerful than a GL2 of the same rating however not everybody likes or finds comfortable the hump grip found in the Avid ( I 'm one of them ) while the GL2 has a straight handle all the way from the reel seat down to the butt cap.
  9. It 's the nature of the beast and there 's nothing you can do about it other than not fishing with a lipless crank where there 's timber, but as they say: if you are not fishing where your bait hangs up you are not fishing where they are.
  10. For a couple of Oscars you 'll need a 150 gal tank, not only they get quite large, they need a lot of space. Been having aquariums since I was 5 until I was 35 ( even had an aquarium store for 10 years ). Don 't purchase "veil tail" oscars, the veil is not that much of a veil at all, only the tail and fins are a little more elongated. Albino Oscars are pretty cool, specially tigers.
  11. The only mammals that can fly are bats
  12. Poor woman, she don 't know the BM is undestructible :.
  13. The truth ? Choose the one you like, what 's attracting them is the surface commotion.
  14. Worms rods may not necessarily have to be a pool cue to be worm rods, it depends greatly on how sharp your hooks are, how you rig your soft plastics and the application to a specific technique or place, so saying that a medium power rod is not good as a worm/jig rod is highly questionable just to say it in a civilized matter. My worms rods may be from UL all the way to H, would I use a UL rod to fish for example my everyday lake ( Snag Paradise ) ? nope, it would not be such a great idea, the rod & line don 't have enough power to horse a fish out of heavy cover, the rigging method for such will also not be appropiate because it will snag in an eyeblink, and obviously, I my hookset is completely different when I 'm using a noddle than when I 'm using a broom stick. The fact that most prefer MH rods doesn 't mean it has to be that way, it 's far from being a "rule", so don 't feel humbled, there are many ways to skin a cat and each and every one of us knows several of them but that doesn 't mean it 's carved on stone.
  15. BPS and TW have the Stradic Mg on CLEARANCE for $160, also the Sustain is on clearance at BPS to $200.
  16. Nylon every two or three trips. Fluoro, can 't say, don 't use fluoro Copoly every foutr to six trips Braided, can 't say, I usually tie a 4 ft leader, that goes away several times during a trip.
  17. Yeah, but most of those dealers are in CA and don 't have an on-line store :-[. BTW, BB lists TW as one of their dealers and TW doesn 't even have them listed.
  18. Many have never heard of this company, and it 's one of those things Japanese have that you just can 't seem to find everywhere ( to my knowledge in the US only Specialty tackle carries some BB products ) created by the Japanese Pros for tough fishing conditions with finesse presentations. The SightMaster Jun Shoji fishes with lots of stuff of this company and he anhilates bass with them. Bait Breath I.M.P Level 1 Looks like a reaper ( or reefer ) but it has a more complex tail design To give it more paddle tail action when shaked I 've fished with Mojo Salty Reefers for over a decade and those things are really good, I just wonder how good this ones would be :-?.
  19. Really good prices in that site.
  20. For anything that generates slack line that you want to pick up fast.
  21. That 's exactly your trouble, you are casting sidearm so you release the thumb too late and the bait flies off target to the left. Release the thumb as soon as you see your hand with the corner of the eye and the lure will fly in a straight line into the target, it takes practice ( as usual ) to achieve the accuracy but it can be done, you don 't need to look at your hand with full sight but with the peripheral sight.
  22. You did that too ? ( tying a thread to the leg ) , man this only proves that kids are kids everywhere ;D, I do hate them eating my figs, birds pick on one and before you know it becomes a mass of beetles feasting on it >, they also feast on my granadas > and peaches > Granada fruit:
  23. Same here, lots of rain, rising lake levels ( in the ones that can expand in surface ) make the fish move to the newly flooded areas, which can sometimes be troublesome now you have to cover 2-3-4 more times of surface to catch the same number of fish.
  24. BPS has a clearance section in it 's website, click on CLEARANCE at the right side of the banner then click on Freshwater Fishing. GYCB also has a close out special in their website and in many baits it has an overstock/discontinued section, you get the baits for less than half of what they usually cost.
