  1. It depends: Split grip just per se adds ZERO sensitivity Split grip without forehandle adds zero sensitivity the added sensitivity comes from you being able to put your finger on the blank cuz it ain 't got no forehandle. Split grip with sensatouch reel seat ( yup, the ones with the hole ) adds sensitivity by you being able to touch the blank with the finger through the hole in the reel seat. Split grip like this: I can 't argue about that, it does add sensitivity cuz, there ain 't no reel seat, you can touch the blank with more fingers.
  2. Spinning: Graphiteleader Bosco Daiwa Revros 2004 Baitcasting: GLoomis CR 721 Daiwa Liberto Pixy.
  3. Then it got hot ..... How hot is hot for you ? You switched and switched and switched ...... switched what ? baits ? presentation ? location ? depth ? In my neck of the woods hot means 100+ degrees, in my neck of the woods when hot you have to switch baits, location, presentation and depth you don 't "switch" all of them you better pack your bags and go home. You fish from shore ...... so what ? I do own a boat however most of my fishing trips take place with me walking the shore and still I can catch fish. Who needs "luck" ?
  4. I 've fished with PLine CXX, 15 pounds is more than I need for flipping into them mesquite trees, for regular fishing I think 15 lbs is waaaaayyyy too much line after me uprooting a stump with 12 lbs, the line ...... didn 't even blink when I pulled it. :-?
  5. The bait is not going to locate the fish, you are the one who locates the fish.
  6. The only Academy stores I visit regularily are the one in MacAllen and the one in Mission, never seen anything worth buying in either. Wally World ? forget it ! Do yourself a favor, order some Mattlures Baby Bass from his site or from *** ( free shipping over 50 dollars ).
  7. If I 'm going to be limited to carry only 3 rods my choices would be: GLoomis SJR722 IMX GLoomis CR723 IMX GLoomis CR724 GL3 With those I can cover almost anything.
  8. U gonna uproot them submerged stumps ? :-?
  9. Bling is everything.
  10. old newz :.
  11. Some work well, but I don 't mean X model works well or Y models works well, I mean some like 1 in 6 work well, others are just plain junk.
  12. Valley Hill tuned Zillion:
  13. I purchased several bags of them when they appeared in the market, fished with some a few times, good baits if the bluegills don 't give 'em a friggin ' haircut which happens all the time > where I fish the most times so needless to say I don 't fish with them oftenly. Have tried them in other places where there are no bluegills or there are very few bluegills, the truth is, they are no better than other creature baits I fish with like Brush Hogs.
  14. For what I remember, Dennis has all the collection of Custom TDZs in his power, that makes at least 9 custom TDZs, has at least one of each limited edition Pixys so that would make 3 ( 3 colors ), has at least one TDZ Type R, at least one TDZ Type R+, at least one Alphas 103, at least 1 Alphas Itö, at least 1 TD Itö and so on, every single Megabass, Evergreen, Palms rod reviewed on TT is his property. How many rods and reels Dennis has ? haven 't got the slighest clue. :-? But no problem, I can ask him.
  15. x2. would like to have a section of land inside and the rest water...can this be done with any tank? That ain 't an aquarium my friend, that 's called a palidarium.
  16. I think that 's gonna be a liil bit difficult with him.
  17. Saw it at TT 's Icast coverage, my take ? the reel lost it 's essence, instead of being a Fuego it 's now a silver reel with red accents.
  18. Has Dennis shown you one of his custom builts ? next time you meet with him ask him to bring that rod Matt had built for him.
  19. In theory by mid September they will be available.
  20. Catching a truckload of fish in a pond where fish seldomly see a lure doesn 't necessarily mean it 's overpopulated, it only means for shure that the fish are new to lures.
  21. If you are going to invest in one get the largest one, with hard swimbaits it size doesn 't seem to matter a lot when it comes to smaller fish hitting and getting hooked on the bait, you catch a lot of small fish with large hard swimbaits.
  22. 8 pound test braided is as thin as a hair, anything can abrade the line to the point of breakeage, the only thing 8 lb braid line keeps is the near zero stretch, braided line is not abrassion impervious, it 's abrassion resistant but the thinner the line gets the more it deteriorates when rubbed against objects, being so thin it 's not strange to hear you have line breakeage problems. Dodgeguy is 100% correct, you want thin line but higher resistance you need to be in the teen+ poundage, like he mentioned 6/20, 20 pounds of test but 6 lb diameter.
  23. That 's cuz you were fishing with a Medium power, try a heavier power ( 3 or 4 ) and the mushyness goes away.
