  1. Why I am not surprised that Ichibant is out of stock ? :-? ....... they are always out of stock of everything. Ok, there you go ---> IMAKATSU stuff
  2. He 's posting questions in the Shimano support section. ;D
  3. Burley !!!! Oh well, they don 't give much options. :
  4. Well, the man most probably don 't read BassResource, the best bass fishing forum on the net.
  5. Can learn a lot about what ? Bass behavior ? perhaps after diving for several months in a row for several hours a day he/she may learn a little. How his/her home lake look underwater ? absolutely However there are better ways to learn about bass biology and behavior than taking a dip. Want to learn about bass biology and behavior ---> purchase Glenn Lau 's Bigmouth & Bigmouth Forever videos. You can play them over and over again and every time you watch them you 'll learn something new, you don 't need to be a fisheries biologist to understand them either, extremely user friendly. Yeah, they were filmed in Florida and a long time ago ( Uncle Homer appears in Bigmouth and he was already old ! ) however what you see in them applies anywhere and bass haven 't changed at all in those years since the film was made.
  6. There 's no more beautiful and celestial music than the sounds of nature ....... well, unless your lake is right next to the highway and to the international airport like Grapevine Lake is, been to that lake and ----->
  7. Let me add a little of my harvest to make it more confusing for you. I am right handed, cast with my right arm, by the time the bait hits the water the rod is no longer on my right hand but in my left hand so I can crank the reel handle with the right hand, all my reels have the handle on the right side. How about that ? ;D
  8. The only way of knowing is to try, that 's for sure. Now on how strong the magnetic attraction the weight can generate is something that has to be tried out. The strength of the magnetic attraction can 't be measured by how big or small the magnet is, that depends a lot on many things and against what the attraction is being applied on. A good example would be the magnets found in reels with magnetic brake systems, x material magnet over aluminum would have a different attracting power if it 's applied against another material like brass or steel. The weight may be small but generate enough attraction to maintain it "fixed" against the steel of the hook.
  9. Here 's how I see it, based on my experience as an avid tackle junkie and after all these years of fishing only in very few ocassions I 've encountered a lure that really doesn 't work ....... if fished properly, in the right location, with the right presentation. Now that I 've come to think about it the only lure I can say that doesn 't work is the Heddon Cousin II ( don 't know anyone who has ever caught a fish with it ). I do have a Helicopter Lure kit and let me tell you, I 've seen bass hit the strangest things so there 's no reason for me not to believe that it may catch fish, ya know, bass can be as dumb as rocks sometimes so I 'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Flying lure ? yup I do have a kit of those and they catch fish. Fortunately I finally married the lady who made me the favor of gifting me with such gifts and since she no longer has to do so I 'm happy to say that I 'm now Infomercial Lure Gift Free ( thank God I married her before the Walking Worm or I bet I would have one kit of those too ) Now back to the Banjo Minnow, as I said, I 've seen bass hit the strangest things so if fished right, in the right location, in the right conditons I can 't doubt it will catch fish. However I think that there are a lot better and cheaper options out there that have been around for a longer time and that are proven fish catchers like Fluke and Slugo type jerkbaits so why bother in purchasing a Banjo Minnow kit ?
  10. Well back on the subject, the only way for sure which size hooks would be ok for the girl ( and you calling her old, don 't ya know how sensitive women are : ) I 'd say, get a couple of 1/0s and a couple of 2/0s, put them on and see which one keeps the action of the bait better, there 's really no way for sure until it has the hooks on and how it behaves in the water. Owner ? oh yes sir, Owner pleez.
  11. Man, and I thought I was the only one mechanically impaired.
  12. Man, you said, and I quote: big old, sexy, wooden, slow creeping, wakebait, about 10-13" Don 't need to wear nuthin 'to be attractive. You asked, I replied. ;D
  13. Vegetation, standing timber ---> peg
  14. And water in the 48-50 degree mark is what you will have. If I were you I would fish for 48 degree water Look for the fish where they are when the water is 48 degrees Choose my baits for 48 degree water Dress for 70 degree.
  15. I know exactly what you are saying... as I put on my old, dry rotted, almost flat spare, I felt naked knowing that there was no 2nd spare and I was in the middle of nowhere at night! Ain 't that the truth ? S*t always happens at the middle of nowhere and/or at the middle of the night and/or on a day when you can 't find nobody and/or where you don 't have cell phone signal; mix and match those at your will, me ? I usually get them all at once. :
  16. No My CR721, CR722,CR723, MBR782, MBR783, MBR785 ( IMX ) are sensitivity wise equal with the same line type, however the power rating and the length do make them behave differently. But the same rods in GL2 are completely different. Same model, same power rating same acton but different material.
  17. A trailer flat tire without any gear to change it is one inconvenience but it can be solved, having a tire bearing tearing down to pieces and the tire coming out at highway speed at 11 PM on a Sunday ain 't pretty. > Nothing ever happens until it happens, you learn to be prepared for anything when s*t happens to you or when you don 't pay attention to what people who had s*t happened on them have to say. Always carry: Spare Tire ( 2 spares are better, I know what I 'm telling you ) Jack Wrench A couple of bearings Nuts Washers You ain 't gonna believe me ( and I don 't care if you don 't ), but I the tire coming off the trailer happened to me ..... TWICE !!!! in the same night. See I wrote 2 spares ? yup, s*t happens twice, 2 blown trailer tires in another trip. I retrospective it 's laughable, a trip without incidents is no trip at all ..... but we weren 't laughing when when we were stuck there having to change the bearing in the middle of the night right along the highway. >
  18. I agree and disagree with T-rig, yup the Dynagone is a better bait, only problem with the Dynagone is that you can 't find them in the US while you can find the Cover Craw at TW, there 's where I disagree with T-rig in you trying to get the Dynagone.
  19. This man and I must be related or sumthin like that :-?.
  20. By just looking at the package you know old warts from new warts. Storm pre Normark owned warts came in a clam shell package, Storm Normark owned warts come in boxes with a clear lid. Then come the differences in the bait, old warts are all in one piece, the lip and body bait are one, new warts came with the lip inserted in the bait ( two units ), newer versions of the wart are a comeback of the old one piece model. Some say that old warts are better than new ones, I have both, old ones are not better than new ones, they are just different and as good one as the other.
