  2. The Veyron is a "panfishy" version of the Swimming Ninja. Check out this link, scroll down and click on the Swimming Ninja videos.
  3. Don 't know about how it works in Canada, but in Mexico you pay what the price tag says, it 's illegal to "correct" a tagging mistake for a higher price while the store is open to the public.
  4. Anybody got an aspirin ? got a terrible headache !

  6. If it comes from PETA then it 's BS .... why bother in watching BS ? :-?
  7. Said by someone who has owned some of the sexiest cars in the planet ( yeah, those that tickle your fancy )
  8. Look at it this way, from a hide you can make X number of full size soles, so the left over of the hide after cutting the full size soles is still valuable and from that you can make X number of half size soles, after cutting the half size soles you still got material left, that is cut to make heels. The same principle is applied to cork sheaths, you can make X number of rings, then form the leftover you can make X number of half rings ( or C 's as you called them ) and from what 's left you can make compressed cork.
  9. Uhhhhhh, you Texan and Floridans from my point of view are ....... up north :-? But I agree, summer is not the best time for bassin, down here it rains all summer long and when it don 't rain it 's sunny, muggy and purty darn HOT ! , lakes turn into either mud or pea soup. Best seasons are very late winter-early spring ( spawn in late feb Feb/March ) and fall, winter fishing is good but nowhere near those two seasons.
  10. Mojo rig = dropshot rig with a an elastic leader Yup, instead of making your leader with your line you tie an elastic leader, you can purchase a ready to use rig from Mojo Lures, btw, try Mojo 's Salty Reefers, they are great baits.

    topwater

Many are going to say that topwaters are best for low light conditions ( dawn/dusk ), that 's what conventional wisdom says .......and it ain 't exactly the Truth ( yeah with capital T ), why ? because I 've fished for years and in multiple ocassions with topwaters with great success when conventional wisdom says you shouldn 't. So as usual, there 's no such thing as "the best", you got to try until you determine that the topwater approach may not be the most accurate for that time, place and conditions. I divide my topwaters depending upon what I 'm going to fish, if I 'm going to fish a large surface then I prefer to use baits that can cover a lot of water ( walk the dog type baits or wobblers ), for covering small areas or specific targets then I prefer to choose baits that I can keep in that area for a long period of time ( poppers, prop baits, chuggers ).
  13. You may or you may not have to pay import taxes, it depends, the customs at the USPS do kinda like a lottery with packages coming from overseas, after X number of packages have crossed the line they pick one that will pay the taxes, also it depends on how the item is labeled when shipped ( ex: gift or sample ) and for how much it was invoiced. I 've been purchasing import tackle for several years, shipped either to the US or to Mexico, not once I 've paid taxes. When you can bet shure for import taxes is when the item is shipped via a shipping company like UPS or FEDEX or DHL, when I happen to order and the merchandise is shipped by that mean I always have to pay import taxes.
  14. Why so sad ? we all been there, you gotta start somwhere.
  15. Some of the lakes I fish are crystal clear, the only line color I avoid when fishing them is fluorescent specially on sunny days because it glows and makes the line look as thick as a rope. Clear, smoke, moss green, green it doesn 't matter in clear water, in colored water it matters even less.
  16. The problem I see with BPS reels is consistency or better said, the lack of consistency when purchasing one or several, a friend of mine purchased a Johnny Morris reel ( previous model ) and the reel has worked flawlessly for several years, at the start and quite soon after purchasing the first one he liked it so much he purchased another two, in theory the three reels should be the same, however the story is not always theory but facts, the other two he purchased have caused nothing but trouble. 1 good reel out of 3, not saying that 66% of BPS reels are lemons, however the chances of getting a lemon are there and I 'd rather play safe with my hard earned money.
  17. Not catching anything teaches you to be patient.
  18. 13.86 lbs. Rapala Shad Rap SR7SD.
  19. That would depend don 't you think ? If you are going to fish heavy weedy cover 14-17 lbs test would be fine, heavy woody cover Yozuri Hybrid or CXX 12-17 lbs test. If your going to fish little or no cover then 10-12 lbs test will suffice.
  20. Look at it these way, function over look is more important ..... but it don 't hurt if it looks good !
  21. Modern glass cranking rods are true marvels and common knowdledge applied to glass rods apply only to old glass rods, no longer they apply to modern glass rods. Old glass crank rods were heavy, noodly, thick walled with virtually no sensitivity, modern glass rods are light years away from them. The same thing is true with graphite rods, graphite rods used to be light, brittle, too stiff and too sensitive when compared to glass rods of the same era, not exactly the best for cranking, but such no longer apply to modern day graphite crankbait rods. So nowdays it 's more a matter of what you prefer. I crank with graphite. Why ? cuz I like graphite, but wouldn 't mind cranking with glass as long as it 's not one of them old glass rods I used to have.
  22. Red reels on GLoomis Merlot rods rock !
  23. Man, at 40 bones it 's a no brainer deal. My only beef with the Tierra would be that it 's a lil bit too wide for my taste.
  24. Fine reel for spinnerbaits, 28" IPT, not "too slow" really, actually 2" IPT faster than my regular spinnerbait reels ( Curado 200, Chonarch 100B, TDZ103H n ' such ).
