A 6 lber PB isn't bad specially if you only fish in Yankeeland, hell, it's better than what most dudes have as PB down here in the deep south.

Well, technically GLoomis rods are "Shimano" since Shimano owns GLoomis, so since most of my rods are GLoomis then I play the Daiwa on "Shimano" rods when I fish with my Daiwa reels..... but, my GLoomis rods were purchased when Shimano didn't own GLoomis so now I'm confused if I'm really doing the Daiwa reel on a "Shimano" rod.

It's more likely too heavy for your rod.

Never stop. My friend Pedro and I fished this pond in his grandfather's farm for over a decade, year after year, trip after trip we caught a bunch of 10-12 inch bass, it was fun, 50+ fish in an afternoon was an ego boost, maybe the biggest fish we caught was a 3 lber, that was until one day ..... I caught my first 10+ lber in it, not only that, I broke my record 3 times that day, yup 3 10+ lbers the same day ( and lost another bigun right at the bank ) from that puddle.

Have it nicely placed in a wooden case with a glass front and display it in a place where I can see it pretty much all the time ..... so every time I look at it I kick myself on the rear end for being careless and not pay attention.

I know to fish with everything and I catch fish with almost everything ( buzzbaits are my kryptonite ), the "catch" is knowing how to choose which lure/rig/technique will work.

Bagleys's small fry Baby Bass given to me by one of the best bass fishermen I've known, Manuel Puente, he taught me how to fish with crankbaits. Rapala Shad Rap size 7 SD, caught hundreds of fish with it including my PB. Rapala Original Floating minnow size 9 RT, caught my first 10+ lber with it. Rebel Wee Frog, man that thing is a fish magnet, heck, I've even caught trout with it.

Must be really hard to grab a bottle of that stuff .......

Whatever rows your boat, I've fished for decades and caught thousands of fish with unscented baits so it's going to be difficult to prove to me it makes a real difference.
