  1. Any hampton roads anglers on this post?
  2. haha glad to hear, only reason i asked is because i have heard of dogs and joggers getting attacked by gators in small neighborhood ponds in florida.
  3. you live in florida and your kid swam in the pond? dont you guys have alligators in neighborhood ponds?
  4. I have the 370 two seater model but its only usually me in it when I fish, my GF gets to impatient to fish haha. Its very slow if your alone and dosnt track to well, but its cheap and convenient since I dont have a truck or roof racks, not to mention its great for people who dont have garages to store a full size hard hule kayak. I would say for the price its good for small lake or a short paddle on a river. I have taken mine for fishing trips up to 3miles and been out on the water up to 6 hours, and it does get uncomfortable. No rod holders but easliy fits my milke crate with rod holders. In all if its for a small lake and not for fishing, its a good buy for the price and convince. But dont be fooled, it is kind of heavy to carry around. The website makes it seem like its easy enough to carry on long hikes, deflated
  5. thanks all for the info, i thought braid would be stronger against abrasive stuff like rocks? looks like i mite have to get another rod and reel with fluorocarbon, will cheap rod and reel combos do? like the ones the bass pro shops house combo for $39.99
  6. So I keep reading articles on fineness fishing since its that time of the year (winter) and articles keep saying to use fluorocarbon my question is why not just use braided line?
  7. how many times have you fished this year? and is this all bass? if so nice!
  8. nice catch! im still looking to catch my 1st bowfin, heard they take most lures/baits that bass take. I tried to drop my senko infront of him but by the time i realized what was going on, still in shock scratching my head wondering what fish it was, it went away.
  9. I took the kayak out for some fishing out in the northlanding river, VA. and noticed that this fish that looked like a bowfin, came right up to my kayak and was just swimming in place staring at me. I could of litterly touched the fish if i stuck my hand out, I've heard of bass coming up to boats, but this was def. not a bass, anyone else experience this? I know these things can jump and they have teeth, which would suck if it did try to jump at me in the yak.
  10. good to see people doing good things
  11. so the heat wave is going to let up soon, anyone doing any good during this heat?
  12. I too would like to know how stumpy lake fishing is, now that theres a pier and a kayak launch. Seen nothing but small catfish caught from the pier and some good sized carp. So many trees in the water, it looks like a great spot to fish, but not sure if theres anything big or even bass in there.
  13. there launch sites up and down sandbridge on the bay side, and some in the back bay wild life refuge. Or you can go into pungo side of back bay and launch from mill landing road, or horn point. good fishing back there.
  14. About to purchase a tandem, since they have a pretty good sale going on. Just wanted to get any feedback on anyone who owns one or ridden in one. Pros Cons, safe? etc...also can the tandem be used as a solo?
  15. went out yesterday, back bay creeks. Me - skunked Girlfriend - 1 small catfish Saw a few big fish splash around towards the end of the day...but couldnt hook anything, used a senko wacky, and gulp minnow grub. hate getting skunked!
