  1. LMG where are you LOL? I would go with the Curado, and I don't care what seires they are E or G seires. No contest IMO. Infact, I would go with a Citica E over the Patriarch.
  2. I have fished several AG Veritas rods, and feel the Bucoo is a far better rod. Extemely light and sensitive, and the grip is far more comfortable than the Veritas. The reel seat is much better on the Bucoo as well. I now have 3 Bucoo's and I will be getting a couple more next season. I have a 7' MH casting, 6'6" M spinning and a 7' medium spinning.
  3. The crucial 7'1" MF is the Shaky Head rod.... Some use the ML as it makes a great Drop Shot rod as well.
  4. Keep it for a spare or return it and buy some tackle.
  5. I would choose the Falcon Clark Wendlandt over the Veritas if that's what your asking....
  6. The Veritas is the perfect Senko/soft plastics rod..... The Falcon you have is great for spinner baits. It's softer and allows the fish to fully take the bait before you try to set the hook, same with cranks.
  7. I have a 7' MH and 2 6'6" M one casting one spinning. They are fantastic rods. I would use the 7''er for your spinner bait rod over your Veritas.
  8. The $99.00 rods have standard guides not micro guides. The Bucoo's with micro guides are $129.00 You got a crazy deal.
  9. That rod is perfect for 1/4 - 1/2 oz lipless cranks and light spinner baits. It work very well with Zara Spooks as well.
  10. It comes up at the top of the page evey day for me.... I must not have any friends left LOL....
  11. Great deal... I bought three of them recenty, and the were not $30.00
  12. Is the leather sheath made by the same company?
  13. OK.... Ultra Soft is more manageable than regular Hybrid, but it's no XL.
  14. Thank you all for the support, it is very much appreciated.
  15. My son has a Browning Micro Midas 3 which is very nice bow to start out with. Check your local laws for minimum draw weight.
  16. I keep most of my tackle in the trunk, but not my rods... Never had a problem with plastics or hard baits.
  17. The Canal is slowing down.... don't count on any big fish, but you never know.
  18. YES. One strictly for saltwater would be nice, rather than an all-in-one forum.
  19. X2
  20. Do not get caught up in the BC vs Spinning gear wars.... I use both because I like both, not because I need both. I, and anyone else could use spinning gear only, and catch as many fish in any type of cover or situation, and never pick up a BC setup again. I've pulled in 40" plus striper's from the Cape Cod Canal on mostly spinning gear without any issue, as have hundreds of others. There is ABSOLUTELY no need for BC gear other than you enjoy using it.
  21. Here is my input, take it or leave it. I've been fishing for over 40 years, and I've used every type of line you can think of and some you never heard of, as I'm pretty sure your a MUCH younger person than myself. Trilene XL has been around forever, and is as good a line or better then any. It works equally as good on spinning reels as it does on baitcast gear. Trilene XT is great for baitcast gear as it is tougher and more abrasion resistant. Braid, with or without a mono or flouro leader. This option will handle ALL your fishing needs other than cranking or topwater or spinner baits. For these I like mono. Forget all the hoopla about lines absorbing water, and all the other foolishness associated with lines, and go catch fish. People get way too hung up on what the Pros are using, and telling you to use... they get paid to tell you this, and make you run out to buy the newest and improved line. I catch as many fish as I ever have on the same line I've been using for 40+ years. There are WAY too many lines on the market today IMO. If you need to use line conditioner on any line, it's not worth a dime.
  22. Nice catch!
  23. Not sure if this is the correct place for this , but here goes. I had some pain, swelling and redness in my right inner calf just below my knee, and my wife suggested I go the the ER. Well, they did an ultrasound and found a blood clot. They put me on meds for a week and it has not dissolved. Tomorrow I have to start on Lovenox which will be a once a day injection in my stomach. Needless to say, I think I will have a hard time sticking a needle in my own stomach, and wonder if anyone else has to do this type of thing. Any words of wisdom will be very much appreciated.
  24. Shimano without a doubt.... You can still buy a brand new Citica 200E, Curado 200E or a Curado 50E. Nothing at all wrong with the new G series either, so don't listen to the uneducated.
