  1. Me too.... Going outside around 6:00 to get a fire going in the fire pit. Beer and Smores
  2. Excuse me sir, have you been drinking? LOL
  3. Haha... You ay also be refering to standard guides, mine are micro....
  4. The Falcon 6'6" spinning has 8+tip 7' spinning has 9+tip and the 7' casting has 10+tip. I have all three.
  5. Cabela's will likely pay for the shipping costs, and your out nothing, give them a call... Edit: I just looked the rod up, and it's only $29.00 hardly worth the effort.
  6. Time for a backup generator......
  7. As far as a spinning reel goes, the Shimano Sedona is a fantastic reel, and has become my #1 choice in this price range. When considering a baitcast reel, I would not consider anything under the $100.00 mark unless you buy used. Look for a used Shimano Citica 200E.
  8. I would return the rod ASAP.... I can see if if you swapped out the guides on a rod for different ones, like standard to micro you could have this issue, but no way with a new rod. The guides may be placed incorrectly, but either way return it.
  9. If I could only have three.... 1) St Croix 6' ultra Lite spinning rod paired with a Sedona 1000 reel, and spooled with 10# Power Pro... 2) Falcon Bucoo Micro 7' Medium spinning rod paired with a Sedona 2500 reel, and spooled with 20# Power Pro... 3) 7'6" Daiwa Jupiter Heavy or 6'6" St Croix Ledgend MH baitcast rod paired with a Shimano Citica reel, spooled with 30# Power Pro... Choice #1) Cause I like to fish for Crappie... Choice #2) Cause it covers every technique I choose to fish. Choice #3) Froggin! These are all some of the combos I currently fish.
  10. You asked a question cause you obviously had no clue, and then you just whine like a school girl. .
  11. Takes him too much time to tie on a leader....
  12. Then get yourself a larger reel... you can't have it all. It takes less than a minute to tie on a new leader. The way I see it, you will be respooling your reel every couple hours using a 50E.
  13. 30# braid with a 15# leader.....
  14. PLEASE, stop saying this...
  15. Did you order 2 of each? LOL
  16. Well, you made a sensible choice.....
  17. Right now I have all my rods hanging horizontally like you. One point of contact is at the reel seat, and the other just below the fist guide so there isn't hardly any pressure to cause a bend. I think if one point of contact was on the handle and the other near the tip, that could be an issue.
  18. I'm pretty sure the bend only occurs in glass rods, and not graphite.
  19. How much do they allow you for each rod/reel combo?
  20. SmokeRise1, That is an interesting way to do it, I kinda like the idea. I wonder if there is a way to give the noodles a woodgrain look?
  21. I'm thinking of building a homemade rod rack, and would like to see some of the ones some of you have made.... I'm interested in racks for the home or shop.... So..... let's see your rack!
  22. Put some 8# mono on that reel and you will be very surprised in the difference.
