    My Best Bass

I started bass fishing on May 15th 2012 and these are my best so far. Thank you Bass Resource for teaching me to catch LMB!

  11. I'm land locked as well and have had the best luck finding spots that have the most shade throughout the day. This usually means hanging to the southern edge of the lake and lobbing weightless senkos to the edge of shade and slowly working them back in (wacky or t-rigged). My first few casts are usually from a ways back so i don't scare the fish holding near the shore, this has treated me pretty well over the last week. Also, I move to the next bit of shade if I haven't gotten a bite in ten or so casts. That said, I'm a noob and have never fished PA. Maybe a bass veteran can back me up/ call me out here.
  12. 40 lbs. Giver or take a few. Nice fish!
  13. Sadly, I had to be home before 1.
  14. It's the Grande Ronde River near Troy, Oregon. It is a tributary of the Snake though. It's a pretty amazing place to go for steelies, a bit remote but definitely worth checking out. Oregon has pretty great water access laws too.
  15. 1/8 oz. tungsten for two of 'em and 1/4 oz. lead for the other. It was too windy for weightless (at least for me).
  16. I was down at University Lake in NC today and managed to haul in three of my biggest bass ever and four dinks before 11. Everything came on a t-rigged senko near laydowns. they were 20", 22", and the big girl was 25". I can only guess on weight.
  17. Hi Everyone, I just moved to NC from CO a week ago. I have been catching trout since I was a toddler, but I caught my first LMB a week ago thanks to you guys! Everything I know about bass fishing I've learned form this site and my tally is up to 6. Today was my best day yet with three landed and I was shaken off by a monster, I thought I had hooked a log until I saw him. I'm having trouble with soft plastics, I know it's due to bite detection (me) and hooksets (also me). I did manage my first soft plastic hook-up today on a Senko and missed plenty more. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you out there that have made it possible. Jhol
