  1. I caught my first DD at fork weighed 10.03lb I was 15 years old. Caught on a black salt crawl with white pinchers texas rigged I caught my second when I was 17 yrs old in a farm pond in Oklahoma it weighed 12 lbs caught it on a blue gill that I caught on a grasshopper. (true story) I caught my 3rd on when I was 34 yrs old at a small 55 acre Lake in Oklahoma it weighed 11.2 lbs caught on a 4.25" soonerrun biffle bug on a 7/16 hard head. I am now 37 in search of my next DD!
  2. Top1.5-2 Bottom3-3.5
  3. I went on Fort gibson today before work from 6:30 to 8;00 I had 4 keepers biggest was 6.5 lbs! its on right now. there where tons of boats out this morning though.
  4. fishing has been great for me in NE oklahoma minus Grand Lake. Tenkiller, greenleaf, Ft. gibson have all been great.
  5. My guess is 2 lbs. nice catch. this gal weighed 5. Just to give you an example of a 5 lb'er. If I had arms built like yours I would wear sleeveless shirt as well.
  6. TrapperJ and I went to grand today fished from 7-2 . One stinking bite! So we decided to go to tenkiller 9 fish in less than 2 hours.
  7. Oklahoma: I'll go with Tenkiller
  8. like usually tom is right, but also The north side get some relief(wind block) from the north wind. Where the south side takes on the north wind and it cools it.
  9. very Slow will be better in a couple of weeks. as soon as water temps get in the 60s.
  10. besides a seldom spinnerbait, all Biffle and brauer use is jigs and plastics. Tommy would burn a biffle bug or a swim jig to create a reaction strike. I think you can and those two are proof in my opinion.
  11. I went today 3-20-14. Water temp was 53-55 in discharge. fished 2 hrs. Blanked. I went Monticello in texas 2 weeks ago and water temp at discharge was low 70s. Must not be running the discharge.
  12. Make sure you bring Swim baits and spinner baits that is what they have been catching em on at that lake recently.
  13. on anglers choice replicas right? They have a facebook page.
  14. depends on water temps, I fish on fork 2-4 days a year during spring for the last 25 years only missing 4-5 years. when are you going? I am going march 17 and 18th this year, I booked this before I knew there were 8 tournament on the lake the 15th and 16th. Not an expert on fork by any means just experienced. before you book a trip make sure there are not a lot of Tournaments scheduled. this weekend there are like 8!
  15. I tell everyone I catch my fish on beetle spins when they ask me what did you catch that on. haha
  16. I am getting my 11 lbs largie replica mount, I would get a 6+ smallie mounted. on Largie I would not mount anything under dd, but I catch a lot of 6-7 lbers a year.
  17. never been, but I have heard stories, and I think I'll pass.
  18. I believe you cannot put a boat in with a motor over 7.5 hp right? Can you put a boat in that has a bigger motor on it just not run it?
  19. Nice, funny you posted this I found them via facebook tonight.
  20. Hudson is a good lake, but there are way better fisheries in NE oklahoma than the other ones you listed (According to me ). haha Grand Lake Tenkiller Green Leaf Dripping Springs, in Okmulgee are in my top 5 with Hudson If you go to hudson be careful lots of hidden stumps and rocks in the water. I tore up a prop at hudson. Stay in Channel when you can. I fish Ft Gibson a lot just because it is closest to me its a good lake.
  21. 1a texas 1b Florida California would be 2 if it did not have such a high cost of living but since it does it's not on my list. 2a Alabama 2b Oklahoma 2c georgia 3a arkansas 3b Missouri
  22. Everyone has to believe in something, I believe I'll go fishing. Henry David Thoreau I'd rather be on the lake thinking about God, than in church thinking about fishing.
  23. I am fishing here march 17-18
  24. evers, Alton Jones, Jason Christie, chad morganthaler and coby Carden
