  1. Not for spinning and am really not that concerned with management issues either. I use flouro on my worm and jig rods. nothing is as bad as that stuff and I can handle it fine. The gamma looks interesting. How is it in the stretch department vs maybe trilene XT or xl or orignal Stren.
  2. Think I'm defiantly going to try the yo-zuri. I have seen the cxx pop up around the Internet a lot. But man it's diameter is huge. Now wonder it's so strong......
  3. I have recently started having issues with my general use line, sensation. I have used this line for 5+ years with excellent results. It is really thin for its marked #rating and is extremely low stretch. Couple of years ago I read an article and at the time it was the lowest stretch mono/copolymer. It is also very strong for its rating. I have pulled up stumps with 12#. But recently and with several different boxes and sizes I have noticed that it seems to be breaking really easy. I get just the slightest nick and bam it breaks. I'm ready to move on and try something else. This will be mostly on cranks/ spinners/topwater. I want something that is low stretch....this is a must. Also would like something fairly abrasion resistance. What have u used that has worked? I know yo-zuri is going to be suggested immediately:) I will put it on the list to try if it fits criteria.
  4. I would be delighted with Peterson or Paterson for that matter. Rumor started up last night that we offered les miles. Oh I hope that's not true. The man can win but he is a blithering moron IMO.
  5. I have found that with certain reels too. I had a quantum smoke that was on a 7' foot veritas. Backlashed all the time and no casting distance at all. Kept reading how it was supposut to be quantums farthest casting reel. Yeah right thought. Then one day I got a wild hair and put the reel on a 6'6" mojo rod I had laying around.. WOW haven't had a single backlash since and can chunk a 3/8 swim jig 60-65 yards....seriously. It made a believer out of me.
  6. That's what I use. It's perfect for creek fishing
  7. Xbox I play call of duty a lot online and prefer Xbox. Also all the apps are nice
  8. I have some shimanos but much prefer my lews tournament pro. That thing is so smooth.
  9. Wow that is mind boggling. Especially for smallmouth. Guess its probably because we don't have smallmouth that get that big around here. But I can't even imagine getting on a largemouth bite like that. I'm guessing reading between the lines that u are a guide?
  10. I have ordered and did not get a coupon????
  11. I've been going through a bunch of flouro's and have invisix spooled up right now. This is exactly what I found about the line also. Great manageability, probably the best I have used but.....it's a little more stretchy, not quite as sensitive, and more abrasion prone.
  12. Jig or t-rigged baby brush hog. Also I have been trying to learn to be a better crankbait fisherman and am starting to really love it.
  13. Happened today at a tournament, guy fishing a different tournament pulls right up within casting distance and goes to fishing.....
  14. Hahahaha I JUST WANT A TWINKIE!!!!
  15. I have never had a knot fail because I always take my time and do it right. If I doesn't pull together right I cut and retie. I have had my line break numerous times from nicks. But even at that I check my line every 10-15 minutes. It just takes a second.
  16. Hook down? I don't how u do that but yes it's wrong.
  17. I am self employed with my dad and even though we butt heads almost daily it is pretty cool getting to spend time with the old man. Also being self employed I can pretty much take off and go fishing or hunting whenever I want.
  18. They had an issue with the early micros. The guides inserts were coming out but I think they have that fixed now. I have a micro with no issues. Regular version I have not heard of any problems.
  19. Haha that's my thoughts too!
  20. Wow that was intense.
  21. I haven't had good luck with straight tailed worms. Have had better luck with small ribbon tail worms though. Fished a tournament with a guy last month that used a ultravibe speed craw on a shakey head and did pretty good.
  22. Get a rogue, chrome side blue back in the suspending model. Use erratic twitches and let the fish dictate the speed. Generally the colder the slower between twitches. Also don't confine a jerkbait to shallow water. I have had great days next to a bluff in sixty feet of water with a jerkbait.
  23. I own both and would get a carbonlite over both of those.
  24. Well I bite hook line and sinker.........
  25. I mix and match. I do seem to go towards pure fishing reels though be it whatever label they have on them. I don't think I have any two of the same rod. Bought them specific for whatever technique I use it for.
